So fightingfury_88 am I correct in saying to pay out Ben Lennon's $242k ( 2 ) contract of $484k, I get a 25% discount and therefore costs $363k but obviously gets him the hell off my list? If so I would like to do this.
Yes that is correct. Please confirm you wish to delist Ben Lennon at a cost of $363k.

As a side note, this may be the most entertaining request for a delisting so far.

I confirm and much like him in the 2017 VFL Grand Final, I’ll be kicking his behind out of my club.

So fightingfury_88 it looks like Sam Murray will have a rookie contract next year and whatever the circumstances, he won't be playing AFL - whether it's a 2 year ban or 4 year ban (surely couldn't be 4 years if we're re-rookieing him).

Is there some way to promote a rookie or something in place of him post rookie draft? Because technically he has a contract, but I think we can safely say he won't be gracing an AFL field. I guess it's more to know my options.

I've been thinking about this since it was announced Murray would be rookied by Collingwood. What I've come up is that I'll allow you to delist Murray at 50% of his value (50% x $233,000 x 2 years = $233,000), effectively it's a delistment due to injury retirement value. However if you do this he is open for any team, including yours, to select in any of the drafts (including rookie drafts as he is still rookie eligbile). This will be a one-off option for this off-season only. If you choose to keep him on your list this season there will be no discount if you wish to delist him next off-season.

You can also keep him on your senior list if you want on his existing contract and he will be LTI eligible (assuming any suspension meets LTI classification) meaning you can promote a rookie for him in season as per normal rookie promotion rules.

So effectively he will cost me the same on or off the list, but keeping him on allows a rookie to be promoted providing it matches LTI classification?

For this year the cost is the same, but you don't get a draft pick you would otherwise for delisting him. Potentially next year you have $233k wasted on your books by not delisting him at the discount rate this year. He's also uncontracted after two more years meaning you are no guarantee to keep him either way if/when he returns to AFL. That's the risk you are taking I suppose.

You can also only promote a rookie if you have a rookie on your list in the first place.

Ah yeah, I'll bugger him off then. I'll delist Sam Murray at 50%.

If another club drafts him then it means he's fully off my books yeah?

Depends what draft he is taken in. Either way he'll be off your books entirely by next off-season. Please confirm delisting of Murray at 50%.
