Results went County's way this weekend, we defeated Morton 2-0, while Dundee United and Ayr both lost, opening the gap at the top to 8pts, and Ross County have a game in hand, which is against Falkirk on Tuesday.

There are nine games to go for the chasing pack to close the gap and stop Ross County from returning to the Premiership at the first attempt. If this morning's performance is anything to go by I can't see it being done, even without our leading goal scorer we are still capable of creating opportunities and defensively we are holding the opposition to 1 or 2 shot on goal.

That said, our three closest rivals, Dundee United, Ayr United and Inverness, we all play away, with Inverness and Dundee back to back next weekend and the following Tuesday. Come away from those two games with out lead still mostly intact and I'd be more than confident that we will win the Championship.

A 2-1 win at home against Falkirk and it is six wins on the trot for the Staggies which sees us open up an 11pt gap to second placed Dundee United.
Big week coming with two away games against ICT on Friday Night (Scottish time) and Dundee next Tuesday.
