The 'El Kessocko' or the 'The Cold Form' was a little controversial this morning, with County defeating ICT 2-1.
All the goals were scored before halftime, but the talking point was the sending off of ICT player Trafford for a second bookable offence just before halftime. The ICT players were adamant that County player Draper should have been red carded just prior for illegal contact, but the incident it was missed by the ref.

County are now 5pts clear at the top, still with a game in hand over second placed Dundee United, who have 5 games remaining.

And just to make it a little more interesting, United travel north to meet the Ross County this weekend. A win to the Staggies, and the celebrations can begin. Go the Staggies.

A 1-1 draw against second placed Dundee United keeps the Staggies 5 points clear with a game in hand, which is against Dunfermline on Wednesday morning.

While it's not official I'm going to call it.

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!

Ross County defeated Dunfermline 1-0 this morning to move 8pts clear with only 4 games to go. Three of those remaining game are against the bottom three teams.

THE STAGGIES ARE BACK IN THE PREMIERSHIP!

Also, this morning's victory was our 200th home win since joined the Football League in 1994.

Our record since joined the Football League is:
HOME: W200 D111 L143 F705 A544
AWAY: W159 D134 L161 F601 A598

Not a bad record for a small club playing out of a town of only 5500 people.

Congrats and hopefully we can join you! But first we have a big semi-final to play.

All the best, I’d rather see you guys promoted ahead Dundee United. It would be nice to see Scotland’s premier derby back in the Premiership.:)

DUFC have a new American owner with plenty of money.

Dundee United are definitely in the box seat sitting second, the playoffs are little different in Scotland, with the 3rd and 4th placed team playing a two-leg semi-final over a week. The winner then plays the second placed team in a two-leg Final, before the winner places the 11th placed team from the Premiership in a two-leg promotion final. It means for Ayr United and Inverness to achieve promotion they will need to play every Tuesday and Saturday for three weeks. A tough way to make it to the Premiership, but well deserved if they make it.

The odds seem really stacked against the Championship teams. Since it's came in how many teams have actually qualified for the Premiership through the play offs? Livingston last year, I seem to remember Hamilton managing it but the system really seems to favour the team in the Premiership.

3-1 win over Ayr. County need to lose their final two games, and Dundee United win their three and cover the 20+ goal difference to knock us off the top spot.

Ross County are Winners of the Scottish Championship after a 4-0 victory over Queen Of The South.

We are the first club since Hearts in 2015 to win promotion back the Premiership at the first attempt.
