Canucks On pace for 82 points

in a playoff spot :drunk:

The final wild card spot is quite interesting in the Campbell Conference.

Six teams within three points of the Canucks' spot.
Three of them playing terrible 'ockey (Oilers, Ducks, Denver).
Two teams which pretty much quit this season are now on fire (Chicago, Blues).
And the treading water Desert Dawgs.

Lambs to the slaughter very likely for playoff time but interesting none the less.

Almost as though they're thriving under better operational budgets with more facilities at their disposal.

What's Perlini's excuse then?

I don't think it has anything to do with what you've mentioned, not in Strome's case anyway. He hasn't spent a pre-season with us, yet. I've been very happy with him though. Would love to see what he can do after some conditioning over the off season.

Once again another dumb penalty seconds before heading to OT and the result always ends up the same. When will we learn

Whats everyone's thoughts on what Columbus should do with Panarin.

Looks next to no chance he stays when he hits FA in the summer, which he has openly said he wants to explore.

On one hand, the Jackets are a good chance to win a tight division this year and win a playoff round or 2 (cant see them beating tampa or Toronto in a 7 game series, but they have a goalie who can win a series off his bat)..on the other hand, they recently look like a team who is a bubble playoff team that if they have a bad week could see them selves out of a position.

Panarin obviously gives them a better chance of making the playoffs, winning the division and having a playoff series win which would be massive for a franchise so starved..

But, if he wont be there past this summer..the return he could likely get now, probably the biggest fish available this trade deadline...could hook the team up with another 1st round pick and probably a top prospect.

What would you do?

Strome with another 3 point game. 30 points in 32 games since coming across, which includes 10 multi-point games.

Surprisingly pleased with Drake Caggiula to date as well!

Looking forward to Dallas going up against the leagues best in Tampa on Friday.

Number 1 team in goals for vs number 2 in goals against. Somethings gotta give there. Hoping we are up to a massive challenge.

Side note, never thought id see a stars team thats top 2 for goals against.

The stars are having great success in some important areas this year

2nd in GAA
6th in face-offs
6th in PK

Both goalies top 5 in Save %

Teams whonplay that way generally make the playoffs.

The questions we will need to answer is can we get good enough secondary scoring to compete against nashville/winnipeg in a playoff series. A ridiculous stat is that after seguin, benn and radulov...our only other player with 10 goals or more is a defenseman, Heiskanen with 10.

4 goals on 8 shots is not a good start from the Stars goalies...
