Yep low 80’s. Tonight’s win will ensure a strong home roll up next week. Also, Essendon vs Richmond next week is going to be huge. I'll say 83K.

Looked like Essendon had more supporters at the game.
I don’t think there’s any reason to panic, GWS are subject to form and expectations like every other side. They are getting killed by injuries at the moment and this is showing with recent results. If everyone was fit and firing, we would see them get better crowds.

I mean lets take it in context.
Crowds for a relatively new AFL club probably about where they should be. If true.
You know what, I reckon that fixture might beat what the Bulldogs last homegame against the Suns got a few weeks ago.Presuming the lose away against the Crows next week, their next home match is against GC.
Don’t think that will get to their lowest ever (5,830), but pretty certain it will be their first sub-8k crowd there since 2015.
Sheesh, was that expected?28k at Docklands.
I thought it'd be 25-30k, so bang on what I expected. Not sure about other people.Sheesh, was that expected?
Impressive crowd, thought it would be in 20-25k region.
There was lots of Eagles support there. I didn't even feel outnumbered.
I was actually there. Somewhere between the two views is my take. Many more Hawks there but I think there was 3-4K Eagles fans there today.Really? apart from the cheersquad at the latrobe end, there was next to no eagles support there.
That crowd is what Freo used to get at Subiaco,So much for both WA teams getting 50,000 to all their games at the new stadium.37,575 at optus, i know it was wet over there but that's quite a small crowd.
That Hawthorn v Eagles roll up was pretty decent given the circumstances (the Swans and Lions capitulations and the lack of reserve seating for members). Pretty comparable with the Hawks v Port Adelaide and West Coast Docklands crowds in 2013 and 2015. Both of those games were Friday Night fixtures whilst today was a Sunday...
Pretty heartening for the AFL if they want to start scheduling more Hawthorn home games...

Im not expecting west coast level attendances but surely they could be getting crowds no lower than 42k each week, new stadium world class facilities, would oh hoped of a bit more from freo. That crowd is what Freo used to get at Subiaco,So much for both WA teams getting 50,000 to all their games at the new stadium.
That’d be well beyond the average of any Victorian club again interstate sides. Is that expectation too high?Im not expecting west coast level attendances but surely they could be getting crowds no lower than 42k each week, new stadium world class facilities, would oh hoped of a bit more from freo.

What do you mean lack of reserve seating for members? Do MCG reserve seat members not get reserved seats at Etihad?
