Resource 2018 AFL Draft Order

As time marches on it looks like Lynch (definitely) and Sloane (highly likely) will move as FA and both will attract Band 1 compo.

With the bottom of the ladder taking shape, it now looks Carlton at 1, Gold Coast 2, 3, 18, Brisbane 4, etc through to Crows 9, 10, 14, 21. Of interest, given the high number of F/S, academy and NGA tied players, is where North finish as pick 12 could be after TT attracts a bid, Pies pick 19 with FA chucked in could be after Quaynor attracts a bid.

Very high quality draft, lots of players tied to clubs, potentially a lot of pick trading, most fascinating draft ever IMO.

IMO the Crows are highly unlikely to get band 1 for Rory Sloane, Tom Rockliff is a year younger than Sloane and attracted a 4 year contract, rumored to be around the 750K p.a. mark, was a club captain, All Australian and multiple club best and fairest. I can't see Sloane being offered 4 years with him turning 29 before the start of next season.

if he goes to the hawks or like geelong the afl will make it band 1 to stop hawks etc having to trade for him if crows match

I can see a fair bit of pick swapping in the first round this year.

Picks 9 and 10 to GCS for pick 3 (enabling Adelaide to get Rankine), and pick 1 to GCS for picks 2 and 9 (enabling them to get Lukosious as a replacement KPF for Lynch) kind of thing.

Very happy with Port's draft hand. With a likely pick for Polec too coming in.

Didn't require us to lose players as it is too.

Thats contradictory isnt it?

Your expectation for Polec?

Our existing hand is better than anyone near us on the ladder...

Pretty obvious I would have thought. It will get better if Polec takes the money.

Given the money offer, that first round pick from North will be involved.

But sure, try to start a shit fight for no reason.

Pull your head in. You said that you got your picks without losing players directly after you quoted Polec is leaving.

I asked the question as I am genuinely interested in what people value Polec at. He was originally drafted at 5 and you traded 14 for him 3 years later. He is 8 years into his playing life. Played 78 out of about 100 for Port averaging just on 20 disposals a game.

To me thats not a 1st rounder without Port throwing steak knives. If you think he is and the club thinks he is a 1st rounder then good luck and if you do the deal then even more surprising to me.

I hope you can respond without attacking my team support
