Why would GWS need to do that. They'd be going all out for M King I assume in that scenario. Yet the have Patton, Himmelberg and Cameron. Unless they have zero depth underneath that, with all the picks they've had over the years, and the trade outs, I would've thought they'd just continue bringing in a large quantity of low picks rather than target quality.

maybe they could use the fax machine with a copy to bigfooty - otherwise we will be at 11pm still trying to find out who is our pick 15.
I'm fully expecting another patented Gil shamozzle tonight. So all the teams are in separate boxes and there is a 5 minute time limit on negotiations? Can only assume some offers are already on the table but with the dynamic nature of the draft it would seem that these are really tight time limits. I don't think many pick trades will get done.

THE 2018 NAB AFL Draft will be held over two days for the first time ever. The first-round of the draft will be held on Thursday November 22, while the remainder of the draft, as well as the Rookie Draft will be held on Friday November 23. Marvel Stadium will host the two-day event.
THE draft will be live on FOX FOOTY (Channel 504) from 6.30pm (AEDT), with the first round expected to commence around 7pm. Every pick this year will be shown live on FOX FOOTY, while there will also be ample interviews and analysis from an expert panel. You can also follow every pick live online via foxfooty.com.au, which will also host club-by-club analysis pieces and report cards in the event’s aftermath. Day 2 will be live on FOX FOOTY (Channel 504) from Midday.

We couldn't have a more exciting hand in terms of keeping the night interesting throughout and still I'm dreading how boring it will be waiting for each pick to happen. Imagine any other year when we sit around all night waiting for pick 9. Hopefully they streamline the system in future years.
Ridiculous that clubs with mid-20s picks get a whole night/morning to reassess their scenarios based on who is still available. Surely it has to happen as one continuous draft if they are going to impose time limits on every other pick.

Reckon Adelaide are right on the money bidding on all academy picks. Clubs like Sydney and North Melbourne will match almost any bid on their players because they've based their whole draft hand around getting a bevy of shit picks to bid with. They're always going to slightly overpay on points rather than not match and take a stack of 3rd rounders. Serves the clubs right for trying to game the system.
