The speedster arguably had his best game of the season in the Grand Final, kicking three first-half goals and finishing with 15 disposals and two score assists for the Roosters. Woodcock complements his pace and goal sense with strong overhead marking.

I think because his best form came so late he wasn't covered well enough by recruiters and so he slipped to what is effectively the rookie draft.

Pleasing end to our national draft. Grundy is a good raw key defender to develop.

I liked Woodcock in the finals and he played well throughout the series. Thought he would be the sort Geoff Parker would take a shine to.
