Looked at the start of the day that we would do very little, now we have Riley Grundy and Boyd Woodcock. Woodcock was expected to go early 40s by some phantom drafts. 46 in Knightmare's final draft. Geelong did well with Oscar Brownless as Knightmare had Geelong taking him matching at 40. They didn't have to do anything till 74.

That’s where most of the value is in these academy players. A 3rd round midfielder or small is no great heist. We either want them to be first round picks or slide to Cat B rookies.

While I do sort of agree it's a tad unfair the extent to which it's happening, it also is very much putting all your eggs in one basket with that approach.
