I wouldn't be picking either of Pudney or Frederick if they weren't Cat B's...just saying.

Pudney is a gut runner, but I swear he's just Kane Mitchell.
If every rookie contributed as much as Kane did you'd be pretty happy.

End of the day they'll cost us nothing. Give em a crack. Help load up the Maggies with more depth, and see how they go.

Boyd Woodcock kicked 8 goals in the SANFL finals series including 3 in the GF

Knightmare had him going at pick 46
On the broadcast, when asked which was the most surprising slider of the draft, Sheehan immediately named Woodcock! Said that his last half of the year was superb, and that he is very surprised that he went close to the last pick. Said clubs might have not done much research on him due to his late progress!

Well done Ports!!

Kind of a classic port draft. One or two picks to get pumped about then the rest a bit meh.

What do you expect? We had three first round picks and didn't get another crack at it until pick 72. I think we have done fairly well as our recruiters have focused on our areas of need, namely two or three ball carrying midfielders, a small forward and key defender.

Would love to find a way to snare Woodcock if he's still available in the 60's. Been a long time since we had an aggressive, talented goalsneak. Need a new project since we finally got rid of Neade

we found a way …

:D

Is he any relation to the Roger Woodcock that used to torment us from Norwood ?

There were a couple of Woodcocks who played for the deadlegs in Roger's era.
He had at least one older brother who played at the parade (Brian?), and there was an Ashley Woodcock who was an opening batsman and later captained S.A. before they became the redbacks, so it's possible there is a family connection somewhere.

Yes Brian played at the parade, not sure how many games though. Won a reserves Magarey Medal
