Squiggle tips Saints at 51% chance -- What's your tip? -- Team line-ups »
That has to be the quintessential Freudian slip.
Need to get a screen shot of that before it's corrected.
First 5 games - 3 and 2.Let's break it into bite size chunks.
Friday, March 23
Essendon v Adelaide Crows (A)
Thursday, March 29
Adelaide Crows v Richmond (H)
Saturday, April 07
St Kilda v Adelaide Crows (A)
Friday, April 13
Adelaide Crows v Collingwood (H)
Friday, April 20
Sydney Swans v Adelaide Crows (A)
Tough opening 5 weeks. But the only game I think we're going to not be favourite is the Sydney game. Doesn't mean we win them all, but Essendon and Saints away are games we should relish if we want to play a big role in the finals again, and I like playing Richmond early.
Saturday, April 28
Adelaide Crows v Gold Coast Suns (H)
Saturday, May 05
Adelaide Crows v Carlton (H)
Saturday, May 12
Port Adelaide v Adelaide Crows (A/H)
Friday, May 18
Adelaide Crows v Western Bulldogs (H)
Nice "breather" with 4 games at home in a row. Need to take advantage. Suns and Blues should be big wins
Sunday, May 27
Melbourne v Adelaide Crows (A)
Sunday, June 03
Adelaide Crows v GWS Giants (H)
Sunday, June 10
Fremantle v Adelaide Crows (A)
Saturday, June 16
Hawthorn v Adelaide Crows (A)
Round 14 BYE
Toughish stretch into the bye - esp with Port and Bulldogs before this lot. Melbourne at no one's home ground is fine, and I like how we play against GWS - but that stretch of Port, Bulldogs, Melb and GWS will be a big signpost for where we're at.
If we are scared of Freo and Hawthorn away then we're not premiership material.
Saturday, June 30
Adelaide Crows v West Coast Eagles (H)
Friday, July 06
Richmond v Adelaide Crows (A)
Thursday, July 12
Adelaide Crows v Geelong Cats (H)
Out of the bye and into the fire. Big three weeks with 2 six day breaks. Injuries by this stage will be a big issue. Cats have a 7 day break but they play Sydney on July 5 in Sydney, so both sides will be feeling it. Richmond of course will have had an 8 day break...
Saturday, July 21
Brisbane Lions v Adelaide Crows (A)
Saturday, July 28
Adelaide Crows v Melbourne (H)
Saturday, August 04
Adelaide Crows v Port Adelaide (H)
Saturday, August 11
GWS Giants v Adelaide Crows (A)
A breather against Brisbane and then 3 more big games that will shaped the finals.
Sunday, August 19
Adelaide Crows v North Melbourne (H)
Friday, August 24
Carlton v Adelaide Crows (A)
If we've done well these two are muck about games - neither opponent is likely to be playing finals, and if we need the ins to get top 4/2 then it's a good way to end after what will have been 6 tough matches out of a 7 weeks. Pity the last game is not at the MCG.
No Geelong or Tasmania shitty stadiums is a huge bonus, and playing GWS at Canberra should see good support given a lot of expats there.
First 5 games - 3 and 2.
Second 4 - 3 and 1
Third 4 - 2 and 2
Next 3 - 2 and 1
Next 4 - 2 and 2
Last 2 - 2 wins.
Even being overly pessimistic sees us winning 14 games. Snag a couple of the tougher games and we end up with 16+. We should be there or there abouts again... also, just perused the Power board and many of them have them winning 18-19 games if things go their way. They're not short on confidence are the Pear fans.
What is our day/twilight/night W-L record over the last two seasons? Anyone?Only one day game in the entire fixture (non-twilight) is outstanding. Day games are the absolute worst.
We bag the AFL a lot but at least here they've recognised that we play attractive football and rate well. Rewarded us with this draw accordingly.14 Channel 7 games is big.
Which of the away games will be delayed on FTA this year?
I would like to know this too, but don't think they release it this early...
It's ridiculous. They had heaps in 2016 even though they were a rabble. Everyone complained so they got a heap taken away from them. Now this year they finish a game above bottom and get rewarded with 4 Friday nights and the Thursday season opener as normal. Crazy. What's with all of Carlton's Friday night games???
I don’t get that, GWS who are a top team and play good footy get * all. What's with all of Carlton's Friday night games???
Happy with our draw overall, but seems a bit odd to both start and finish away. No trips to Geelong or Tassie is a good result for us.
Finally get to play Carlton in Adelaide.
Check again. It's at Etihad.Happy with a round 23 game at the MCG
BoooooooCheck again. It's at Etihad.
As expected too Port get an extremely soft draw. Their only top 6 double up that isn't us is the team that scraped into the 8 on percentage.
