Agreed, Ports season last year was derailed by umpires in a tough section of their draw.

As ba and embarrassing as our GF performance was at least we weren't 13 points up in the 2nd period of extra time.

Personally I'm a but disappointed about our MCG fixtures, I'd rather play a few more games.

Interesting to see the Adelaide metro ratings next year for our Friday night games especially the away ones. Geelong away game this year had 210,000 on FTA and 49,000 on Fox. Sydney home game had 203,000 on FTA and 56,000 on fox. were certainly a ratings winner for the AFL and have been rewarded for it.

So our Fox games are...
R6 vs GC Sat 7:10pm (doubt they'd delay to a 10:00pm start on fta)
R8 @ Port Sat 4:40pm (would they delay a showdown?)
R11 vs GWS Sun 4:10pm (would channel 7 delay into their Sunday Night line up in 1 City?)
R12 @ Freo Sun 4:10pm (see above)
R15 vs WCE Sat 4:05pm (This will be delayed)
R18 @ BL Sat 6:55pm (again with 10:00pm start)
R20 vs Port Sat 4:05pm (again would they delay a showdown?)
R22 vs NM Sun 4:10pm (channel 7 Sunday night etc.)

It's also impossible for them to delay 3 away games for us this year, so they'll delay a home game like they did

They could delay the highlighted games until after the news. Making it a 6:30pm start.

AFL making us play Melbourne twice to troll us over the Lever thing. It's like Dangerfield all over again. Hopefully we can smash them.

Our record against Melbourne does not fill me with confidence.

Pretty good fixture but we need to take advantage of those early home games. With 7 at home from the first 11 we should be sitting in the top 2 after round 11 IMO.

For a team that is in a premiership or bust situation so few games at the G is worrying. We have a very decent draw and one where we should expect top 2 again.

I like the fact we play so much at home early to get runs on the board and then play away later because we need to be able to adapt to away footy if we want to win the flag next year.

Pyke and co need to do more than 2 weeks worth of work on MCG games.
