Yeah I expect both teams to be up and about given they were both embarrassing last week.
Geel have tended to be a bit flaky at times over the last couple of years. Put $25 on Carl at $10's with Bet365 and the equivalent on Geel. Would love to see Carl get an early lead then get reeled back in by Geel once they switch on like Coll did last night.
Hmmm. Just can't see Carlton getting up and about for any game, let alone Geelong at down at the cattery They have no incentive to get the 4 points. Can't see them getting within 60 tonight..

hmmm the forecast has changed for perth to 3-6mm rain not 5-10.. n a few totals pushed up to 145-147 range.. I'll be middling my 158.5 with the over 143.5 at b365,just don't know if I'll middle it all yet..Hill and Pearce in too with Walters 2nd up..freo side looks pretty potent.. but then again both sides goid defensively

I liked Hawthorn before I realised the game was at Etihad not the MCG.
I'm leaning the eagles but with little confidence.
Eagles!! Hawks have too many players not pulling their weight and can't afford any passengers against this Eagles side.
Darling in career best form and even if we can contain him today, they still have Kennedy to kick a bag for them.
Rumours that Ceglar will be a late inclusion in the game to help the Hawks ruck stocks but if he isn't then we have no one who can compete as the second ruck. Roughead can't do it anymore and that only leaves us with 2nd gamer Mitch Lewis to throw in there against the best ruck duo in the Comp.
Only way Hawks can get a win here is if Clarkson pulls out all the tactics in his book, we will need to play an ultra defensive game to stand a chance, we can't keep up with them if we try and have a shootout.
Finally Hawks have only won 1 game out of their past 4 at Etihad. Even Carlton beat us there last year.
Hurts me to say but I am fully expecting rough day at the office like the Hawks experienced against Northearlier this year at Etihad.

I really like those two plays.
On paper it looks like a terrible matchup for the Hawks. Our defense is leaking goals and we face the league's best forward line in outstanding form.
Hawks forward line has also been hampered as we just bomb it in. Had a massive advantage in inside 50's against Syd but still lost.
If Mitchell is slowed down and Isaac Smith kept in check then our midfield can also struggle.
However, it there is any game that the Eagles will be flat and Hawks up and about this should be it. WC won 8 in a row and smashed Rich by 7 goals. Hawks coming off 2 losses and the last one humiliating. We might have to see a Clarkson masterclass here.
I'm on WC +4.5 from last week and going for a middle with Hawks +6.5. And a small dabble on the unders hoping Clarkson goes defensive.
