Any thoughts on North vs Port today?

Port match up ok on the Roos having won the last 3, however they have been crap since Ryder got injured - whereas North have a strong spine with Brown, Goldstein, Waite, Tarrant and Thompson.

Your thoughts on Syd sketi
Cats were their bunnies till the finals last year.

We do actually like the Cattery, won our last 2 there convincingly. I reckon we were switched off mentally a bit in that final, had a crazy run to get into finals and couldn't quite sustain it.

I'm actually relieved I don't have to see us bomb to an outnumbered Buddy this week, interested to see how we go with a forward line of smalls, at least it will encourage us to take the right option.

All that said we are looking a bit light on in the midfield with Hannebery and Towers out, and JPK out of form. Not betting on the game personally but I reckon we will be up for it and push Geelong so if anything Sydney at the +

Geelong Sydney

Interesting game. Obviously Sydney without buddy and a few others. Sydney look a lot more smaller and quicker on paper than geelong. However, i feel like this may not be such an advantage as the game will be played at Simonds stadium (small/narrow ground).
I think Geelong will win this simply because Sydney won't have enough fire power to beat a stingy defensive geelong team.

North v Port

Another interesting game. On one hand i think North have been playing really well and will win this game. On the other hand, i can't see port losing 3 games in a row. Unfortunately for port, i think they are still in a bit of trouble due to their lack of ruckmen. I'm expecting goldestein to dominate. North in a close game for mine.

Bit off topic
But victory 3.00 to qualify for the final against Sydney FC
Sydney will probably win but reckon it will be a tight game maybe 1 goal in it some value there i think

Was interested in the stats for teams in close wins / losses / draw (GC, Bris, GWS and StK) so a guy on twitter put this info together. Interesting but obviously a small sample size.

In 2017-18:

Teams coming off a <6 points win are 14-16-1 SU, 13-18 ATS the week after.

Teams coming off a < 6 points loss are 11-15 SU, 12-14 ATS the week after.

Teams coming off a draw are 3-2-1 SU, 4-2 ATS the week after.
