Can get Oliver Florent (Sydney) at 34-1 on Sportsbet. I reckon he'll get the Rising Star nomination this week. Played a big part in the Swans getting the win today. Again, this is a cash out market, so you don't have to invest and hold on to the bet hoping for the win. You can cash out for a profit when his odds come in, and they should. I'm on for 1u.

Games are turning to crap so defensive.. only one game a round going over I don't know if Any even did last round.. I got Hawks saints under 176.5 at neds early in week lol it'll probably be the one that opens up

Such a difficult season to punt on
For example - wouldn't be surprised if the bulldogs won by 10 goals or lost by 10 points tonight.
Who knows.
People say this every year. It's bs. Look up the past page in round 1 betting on here and look at my quote.

There have been some amazing examples of teams turning their form around. Ade lose virtually their entire midfield and beat Syd easily who consequently beat Geel who without their 90% of their forward potency at a ground where Geel win 95% of the time. And the list goes on.

Bookies are on to the up and down nature of teams form.

A couple of days ago NM were -45.5 and $7 for the win vs Syd. They subsequently get smashed by Port while Syd secure a famous victory at Skilled.

Odds are now -35.5 and $6...

33/1.......... 34/1 is $35

Can anyone tell me if disposals are counted after the siren if it wasn’t a mark or a free kick? I had a large amount on Atkins most disposals. Atkins and elis Yolman were both on 28 touches then yollman receives a handball the siren goes and he kicks it as the siren is sounding but after it the siren had started. Champion data counted it as a kick is this correct?

Im not sure what the "correct" ruling is but whatever champion data decide is official so either way you wont have any luck getting a payout

I'd imagine it's not counted after the siren in the same way a mark wouldn't be, but then again I don't work for Champion Data.

Yeah the bookies have paid out on yolman. It’s disappointing, if he had a shot at goal it wouldn’t be counted as the siren sounded before the ball touched his boot so it shouldn’t be counted as a kick. I called champion data about 30-40 mins after the game and some guy answered saying everyone has left to call back during the week. Might give that a go

Harry Morrison had 25 disposals and 1 goal.

Good luck with that.

I completely disagree. This isn't bs.
Over the past two seasons the competition has grown increasingly even. The evenness of the competition has made it more difficult to assess a teams form.
Whereas in the past, it was much easier to analyse a teams form. This is because there were a group of teams that were distinctly superior or inferior to the rest of the competition.

Personally, I made very good profits punting on AFL from 2014 to 2016. However, in the past 2 years (Including this year) i've struggled. Currently i'm already down 8.6u. I mainly play line markets. I've hardly punted this round and glad i haven't because i would of been burnt again. I'm thinking about taking a break for a while before my losses blow out. The competition has become far too even for me to predict anymore.

I don't like your chances proving the disposal happened before the umpire heard the siren, which officially ends play, rather than the siren starting to sound.

10.4 BRINGING PLAY TO AN END
10.4.1 End of Quarter The Timekeepers shall sound the siren to signal the end of a quarter until a field Umpire and, or the Emergency Umpire acknowledges that the siren has been heard and brings play to an end.
10.4.2 Siren Heard by Field Umpire Play in each quarter shall come to an end when any one of the field Umpires or emergency field Umpire hears the siren.
10.4.3 Signal A field Umpire shall signal that they have heard the siren by blowing a whistle and holding both arms above their head. If immediately before hearing the siren, a field Umpire is of the opinion that a Player should be awarded a Free Kick or a Mark, the field Umpire shall signal that play has come to an end and then award the Free Kick or Mark to the Player. A Free Kick will not be awarded where the football has been kicked and, after the field Umpire has heard the siren, lands Out of Bounds on the Full.
