Isn’t Walters playing? I think by the end of this season (if he stays fit), Walters > Gray.
That would be amazing.

If we are being honest though, Robbie has way more runs on the board. Sonny obviously has the talent to make it happen though. Will need to play lots of midfield for it to come to fruition and I hope he does.

I wouldn't say that's way more runs on the board...

I'm actually surprised Gray's playing at all because he's not exactly going into this season super fit.

Yeah, fair call but I don't place much store in AA selections, especially where Freo players are concerned ;)
Yeah that is fair enough but I think in the same mould, you can't tell everything from stats either (Gray's are marginally better).

I ****ing love Sonny (seriously check any post where I mention him on here) but I am unbiased enough to know that Robbie Gray is definitely a better player. I am also optimistic /bias enough to think he can be as good/better.

I was wondering why we sent over the full 20 player squad for AFLX given it is highly possible some may not even play. Then I realised the bonding going on...

Nice work Freo. It's just a pity that Cerra wasn't quite ready.
Some rubbish swimmers in the team on the right! Boys look like they are having fun which is good.

Cerra must still be a bit sore from the knock he copped during insta club to not be named. Hopefully and probably just being cautious and fully expect him to play JLT 1.

Cerra trained good today.
I saw one beautiful pass from him in a match sim.

I also wonder if any team will be wearing a special AFLX Guernsey - everything else in the comp seems gimmicky.

If its any sort of success I think Perth should be in the frame to host one of the groups next year, especially considering that Perth Stadium is configurable to those dimensions.

Perth Stadium will still have a cricket pitch on it.

It is probably scheduled to play a 20/20 match in the next couple of weeks.

Who's playing though?

Sheffield Shield is back in full swing around this time and the internationals would have moved on from Aus. Plus its a drop in deck so easy enough to remove quickly.

If the BBL is extended next year, NIB stadium could be in the mix I suppose.
