What about j. McGovern. 100 games and a triple all Australian 2016-18 and was in the squad in his first full year in 2015.
Anyone else reckon Redden would have made AA 40 man squad if he didn't legit have the shittest first 5 weeks to his season?
After round 5 Redden averaged:
26.7poss, 5.5tckls, 5.47cl and 11.82 cp's.
IMO he has the scope to find the pill like a Gaff/Macrea and if Gaff leaves he could tbh.

I honestly only heard of him a few months ago when Terry Wallace gave avishka shade for crticising his drafting. I just assumed he was a solid B grader being lifted by a good team.

Cal Twomey comes across hell arrogant/aggressive. It's odd considering he never started off like that but i suspect he's pushing his weight around on a less experienced colleague.
“Yeah good luck to him...” what an absolutely dismissive line about Hurn from this pre-pubescent looking flog.
Never rated Twomey and now his stocks have gone down further in my estimations.
Looking forward to Yeo and Bunga having a blinder next week when all these Vics will be watching [emoji41] rest of the team to also have a blinder through solidarity.

I think Gaff and Hurn were always locks (unless they did something stupid overreacting to what Gaff did).
I though Yeo should have made it. Sensational season.
Gov is super lucky (I don't even think he's been in our top 10 players this year). Not sure how he made it. Probably a side product of the selection committee not watching Eagles games and just going with him due to his name. Not a super-strong year for CHBs probably helped.

All these bias flogs are getting a bit too much to take. It's just getting worse and worse. I often wish we could go back to the days of a strong WAFL with no AFL. Obviously it could never happen, but as a kid, i enjoyed the days of 15 to 20,000 at a suburban oval with none of this vic centric crap.

Disappointed for Hurn not to be made captain but great for him to get his 1st AA at the age of 30 (turning 31).
I actually thought he was a lock tbh. Its as if its a prerequisite for modern day mids to average 30 touches a game. Rory Sloane few years ago made it and was being talked up all year. Thought Yeo has been more dangerous and clutch than Sloane was back then. Plus Yeo played a variety of other roles this year as well.

I can see how he wasn't selected, but it wasn't because he goes missing.
Yeo is always doing the hard stuff; tackling, chasing, pressuring and dropping back or leading up the wing to compete in the air. His defensive and offensive efforts have given us momentum and turned games, especially important since losing Nic and Gaff.
However, on raw output Yeo falls behind some of the more prolific ball-winners that made the AA-22, somewhat due to this utility role. Hopefully a few extra disposals would earn selection as a mid.
Not really a good enough reason to make the team.

The current All-Australian selection panel is Gillon McLachlan (chairman), Kevin Bartlett, Luke Darcy, Mark Evans, Danny Frawley, Glen Jakovich, Cameron Ling and Warren Tredrea.
Two were great footballers, KB was sensational but his brain left him 20 years ago.
The others are flogs of the highest order.
