It also helps that Dumbrell is probably as good as drivers 6 to 10 in the Supercars Championship and the car makes him nearly as competitive as the elite.

I reckon the best Bathurst 1000 race of all time would have to be the 2005 edition.

Consider the following:

1) Craig Lowndes driving with a smashed front window after a tyre hit the front of his car;

2) 'Balaclava-gate' where Greg Murphy had to cop a drive-through penalty because his co-driver nor Murphy was wearing a balaclava. A furious Murphy demanded the whole field be checked.

3) The infamous war of words between Murphy and Marcos Ambrose on lap 143 after a massive crash on top of Mount Panorama.

seems to show the DJR spoiler/splitter on the blue bit but the BJR yet to be on top of the blue bit. Ignoring the commentary and making your own judgment, I guess. To me, it was DJR, based on what I said.

So many people Ute Muster > Bathurst

A few years ago I was at Phillip Island for the MotoGP and met a group of about 20 blokes that were doing Deni Ute Muster - Bathurst 1000 - Phillip Island MotoGP - Gold Coast V8's.

They were looking very subdued by about 9pm Saturday
