He’s going to do a lot worse than excuse grievance-based identity groups from sinecures in the administrative state. Hold your horses.

I don't think anyone ever believed otherwise. He wasn't like Trump where he was inconsistent with what he portrayed. Bolsonaro was pretty explicit with his beliefs.

Not really sure of your point. There were severe fires in the Amazon in 2004/05, which caused Lula to bring I strict laws around deforestation. Under subsequent administrations, particularly this one, agribusiness has been made more important than the environment, and the protections have been stripped away. This is an environmental calamity and purely serves the interest of a few who would destroy the planet for the rest of us in order to financially profit themselves.
