Just doing a bit of pondering and it's made me think that in a H&A season Geelong may not of ever played in front of more people in a 5 week block.
Can't say for sure but I can remember back to the early 90's and this is the most I can remember. Happy to be corrected.
Could this be fast tracking the development of our younger blokes??
I think it is. Great confidence and resilience must be gained from being competitive in front of large (often hostile) crowds.
Anyway! Gonna do crowd numbers and young players (U/50 games)
Rnd1. Melbourne (Away) MCG
Crowd: 54k
Youngens: 9
Rnd2. Hawthorn (Home) MCG
Crowd: 73k
Youngens: 11
Rnd3. West Coast (Away) Optus
Crowd: 54k
Youngens: 11
Rnd4: Stkilda (Home) KP
Crowd: 27k
Youngens: 10
Rnd5: Port (Away) AO
Crowd: 45k
Youngens: 11
5 week block.

Av Young c**ts: 10.4
