You'd hope so. Either of our next two picks would cover a bid for West at Melbourne's next pick, I'd trade our 30 + 34 for their earlier pick and get a pick in the 50s back as well which should cover Khamis as well.

Gives us a pick before West, then a bunch of late picks for West & Khamis with late no points picks for Caverra/Woodcock/Hayes.
State leaguers are polarizing.
West coast rejuvenated their forward line by adding state league small forwards. And there are a heap of other clubs that have benefitted from state league small forwards. There are 2 very good options in Corey rich and Cavarra available. Do we have the balls to select them? Or go for unknown young fellas? Interesting to see how it pans out.

I'm not too much of a fan of Hayes. But I'm basing my opinion of watching him regularly in 2017.

Nice pick up with Smith, look forward to seeing how he plays at the top level

Who do you guys think Dalrymple will like at 25?
Funnily enough Dalrymple’s picks in the 20s have been his least successful from memory. Usually nails the ones 30+ and the early first rounders

I'm going by Power's opinion more than my own who said we'd look at mature talent late in the draft. Anthony Scott from the VAFA is another we've been linked to.

TBH I think West plays small/pressure forward next year and Wallis plays forward a fair bit too. Clay Smith excelled at times as that super tough forward bastard who enabled us to score from forward stoppages, I see both a developing West and a Wallis as that type of player. I suspect Lloyd plays for a solid 3 years as a medium forward rotating in the middle occasionally.

Would West Coast need these draft picks though.

What’s in it for them.

GWS and Melbourne are trying to wrangle the pick. Why on earth would they need it? GWS have cleaned up thus far. When did jmac decide to be good?
