I'd tell them to * off if they're asking for pick 27 also; they want a player that won't be there at pick 9 then ******* pay up and don't try and get s**t as leverage when we're using it.

Let's say that we do that trade and Brisbane decides that they'll bid for West since pick 19 is a reasonable bid, will barely be effected since we'll obviously match it and know that we wouldn't give him up at that price? We can talk about how "OH WE'LL GET A SECOND FIRST ROUND PICK" when it's an end of first round pick and it's a massive roll of the dice that somebody won't play silly buggers.
