So basically if we took Khamis in the main draft then we would've had to take Hayes as a rookie. Now we get Hayes on the main list and Buku as a category B rookie outside the list?

Well that's a draft that will please many. 3 Young guys and 2 ready made players who should be playing football straight away. The three kids might not be far off either! Getting Buku Khamis free is just delightful as well, in the West yesterday they rated him around the end of second round. 3 Rookies to come as well, happy days!

Because if other teams still had picks after us they could have taken Buku.

We had to confirm with last pick to be sure he wouldn't get taken.

Pardon my ignorance but why were the Dogs allowed to draft Hayes after we had passed on 2 or 3 picks. I thought that if you had passed you were out of the draft.

We'd have no list spot for Khamis if we did. Was a waiting game and overall, I think we did reasonably well. Smith, West, Landermeer, Cavarra and Hayes. The latter two being mature age who can slot in round one if required. Wonder if Hayes takes on the Dahlhaus pressure forward type role...

I still think it's 3. We have 4 rookie spots with on Roarke being one. I think Khamis is outside the typical list being Cat B.
