Adding 40 in to the rumoured deal of 26 & 28 certainly makes it much more rewarding and understandable on the Swans side.
Points wise, we can match anything from pick 3 for Blakey with those 3 picks now. Turning pick 13 into something which can match pick 3 is pretty decent trading

Anyone have any mail on whether Kyle Dunkley is likely to be drafted as F/S after playing a game in the ‘goos mid year? Everything very quiet but had a good school year apparently.

Boom! I knew there was something else coming our way for the deal to make sense!

We will probably trade 40 for VDB.

It also stops clubs from bidding for him out of cycle... (i.e. if we have 13 and he isnt taken yet he will get bid on at 12 for sure to make sure we match by any team that has picks before our next pick).

Does 100% lock in us taking him as well.

I also like how there was a "you must use X first round picks in X years" and then Geelong and Hawks went yeahhhh nah not going to do that - we will seek "AFL exemption from having to do this" it was granted and the rule became moot.

My mail is very late or rookie in terms of where he sits. I personally liked what I saw of his one game.

i think the list managers based on comments and just the obsession with points for blakey are overrating our list something shocking, hope i am wrong

but essendon and north will be better , and we look most likely to make way at the moment

(yep 2 weeks of trades, yep im not a list manager, yep these guys are geniuses )

lol if you think B. Scott is anywhere near Blakey. There is a reason Lloyd is saying that.

Blakey is quality and rightly so thought of as a top 10 pick.
I think you missed my point doona.
My point is that the Vic biased media will talk down a player like B. Scott.
No way he is ONLY a third rounder. No way. Yes Blakey is a pick 5 -10.
