I think they would be happier by a mile with either pick 1 or 2 plus Lynch.

Agree that losing Lynch would be far from ideal but Martin, Kolojashnji, Brodie, Bowes, Ainsworth, Wright, May, Swallow, Miller, Ah Chee is a decent base to build on. In the right system, which it looks like Dew might finally have in place, they can make some big leaps forward over the next two years.

Good chance. There’ll be enough other key defensive options in this year’s list for that to happen.

Ben playing forward next to Max seemed to work pretty well last year for Haileybury, so it should make for interesting challenges for opposition TAC defences in 2018 if/when it does occur.

Top Ten- King Twins, Nick Blakey and Curtis Taylor
This is a loaded draft and why clubs were very reluctant to part with futures last year.
From a TAC perspective.
Dandenong have plenty of talent as does Sandy and Oakleigh.
Eastern, Northern and Western will not be as strong but Calder will have a much bigger bigger presence at Draft night with Taylor, Bytel and West locks and Fletcher, Sholl and a couple of 19 year olds also in the mix. Geelong look the strongest of the country teams while there is some even talent in the other regions.

Its pretty rare that club recruiters will name players so thought it would still be interesting none the less, he also mentioned the King Twins but those 3 in particular he rated as the top 3

That’s why I “talked like that” - no other recruiter would disrespect the most recent draft crop by making such claims.

yeh it was. the only mildly surprising thing to me is that Hill was considered in that top 3.

I agree it’s not controversial, but I maintain it’s not professional either. It’s stating something that isn’t relevant, or helpful.

there's no doubt he was asked about it. and so he state his view. i dont think its unprofessional, its not like he put the 2017 kids down.

but i agree with your last point, Dodo is more than happy to get himself on T.V/in print with a quote

Rankine and Lukosius will be sensational footballers, with Hill and Walsh not very far behind .
Like the look of Taylor, and the King brother also. The top 10 15 are going to to be quality players no doubt . The 2018 draft is an absolute ripper one of the better drafts in a very long time.

I have s funny feeling the 17’ crop is going to surprise quite a lot as rookies.
