Pretty standard performance

From a spectating point of view I enjoyed it, a bit of argy bargy and passion from the crowd and coaches box really added to the excitement in the last quarter. Also helped that their where some sensational goals kicked from Josh D’Intinosante and Daly Andrews

Andrews is a great mate of mine. He is an insanely hard worker, he deserves to be called out in November. Keep looking out for him.

Angus Hanrahan - Can someone give me a run down of this kid?

Skilful but slightly built. Reasonable pace, he’s a good but conservative decision maker. Has two more TAC games before APS starts where he should keep developing.

Expect him to be bigger and stronger come August/September, and if he has grown in confidence will be a handy running defender/wingman.

No designated kicker, but only Forbes, Hanrahan or Houlahan would be trustworthy at this stage. Whichever is closest and Angus played deeper in defence than the other two most of the day.

Any reason Ben King doesn't kick out?, id rate him as a very good kick do you feel it works better for him to be the target for kickouts?

On Saturday, 200cm brothers Max and Ben King had a scary field day — and proved why they’re every chance to make national draft history come November by becoming the first brothers — let alone twins — to be taken in the top 10 in the same AFL draft.

Interesting reference to Silvagni (who played OK but was matched with a bottom aged defender in his second game).

For mine, Zac Hart (son of Ben from Adelaide) was clearly the most effective forward for Oakleigh. Kicked 3 despite playing higher and on more mature opponents. Fact is Oakleigh still managed 49 entries into their forward 50, so key forwards on such a good day should’ve kicked 2-3 minimum IMO.

Spot on, why waste one of the best contested marks in the competition as your designated kicker?
Either way id feel it would be good if he did take them from time to time, he may be expected to take kick outs at the next level where the club he plays for may not focus on kicking to tall targets with kick outs

I can’t think of any AFL team who uses a 202cm player to kick in. Can you?

The game has changed. If you are not mobile you fall ie Hayes last year.

You’re comparing apples and oranges here IMO.

Watch the excellent videos of giantroo from the weekend’s game as they’re testament to the mobility of both the Kings.

IIRC - Sam Hayes played 14 TAC games last year and was a slowish tap/intercept mark ruckman who sat deep and kicked 16 goals. He still made All Australian which is a great effort!

However, he’s a very big apple. The Kings are extremely mobile oranges.

Looking good for both to make it but if 1 slips they have some work to catch the Feaby twins who went 3 & 16 in their draft year.

I would think only twins could get picked in the top 10 in the same draft.

Will the Footy Live app have them or is it just results?

I'll try find out for you - we use Champion Data as our data provider, so if they aren't supplying them at all then it's unlikely we'll be getting anything extra.

We are having some issues with Champion supplying us just the TAC results for the first couple of rounds as it is, so it seems like they are pulling back a little on their TAC coverage which means we won't be able to cover it as well as previously.

Sam Hayes played his first league game for Port against Adelaide in the SANFL - amazing game - played 60% of the game in the ruck and won tap outs everywhere against mature bodies. Certainly not an old school ruckman. Port stoked.
