Who will be maximus, go Billy.

I asked Knightmare where he sees a bid coming for Khamis he said he sees him as a late pick/rookie pick, so we may not to give up too much if true.

Said he is one to keep an eye on though.

When is this?

Keep an eye out for Mykelti Lefau, he's my pick to be best on ground.
Won't surprise me if he's drafted by Melbourne at the end of the season
beast

Speaking of relative's. There's a Kosi cousin in this year's draft conversation - Jacob Koschitzke, 195cm swingman.

As much as our conversion rate with AFL brothers absolutely sucks (and there's a Kyle Dunkley, brother of Josh) our conversion rate with cousins gave us two premiership heroes. Late pick likely range, and I'd assume we lose Campbell, NMM and possibly another of our KPDs (Collins? token trade for Fletch although he's handy depth?).

He is certainly one of the later draft KPP which is playing well in the TAC Cup right now.

Tylar Watts might be one that I could see Bev liking if we go for a late draft ruckman to develop. Just has that good ground level skills and contested marking.

Let’s get this thread cranking. Hopefully the footy gods gift us an absolute gun.

I’d give up our first pick to try & gain 2 good first round picks, then use both of those to get 2 guns from other clubs. Maybe Gold Coast as they are swimming in early picks yet again.

A natural goal kicking forward & a damaging mid please.

Need to get one of the better inside mids with the first pick.

Hately or Smith please
What about best player available who well may be the king who tore his ACL? If we are confident he can recover than maybe bringing in a bloke who is surely going to be a 100% jet of a KPF with Jesse hogan type presence and agression at the ball?

Another player on the list with ACL problems with all the players that we already have problems with. It wouldn't be the best move. He probably still goes before our first anyway.

All our major problems are in the midfield and with smaller forwards at the moment. Can find decent small forwards later in the draft but we aren't going to get the real good midfielder unless we go early. The best thing would either be Hately or Smith at this point.

We have access to Chatfield

I wouldn't know where to start. Schache and Boyd don't fill me with great hope as being saviours of our forward line. If someone is available do we go for them or do we try and fix our slow, unskilled midfield.

The only inside mids that are filling me with any sort of confidence against the better sides are Mclean, Bont and Macrae this year. We aren't going to win too many games when the mid table sides are running rings around us in the middle like what happened last night and the first few rounds. We got rid of our good midfield depth and replaced it with outside flankers and KPP. Some of those are good players don't get me wrong but when you can't win the ball at its source you are going to struggle regardless.

Our forward line has problems but a lot of that has to do with how we are kicking it inside 50. We just never lower our eyes and hit the lead up, we just kick low percentage kicks to the top of the goal square after spending an eternity at CHF or kick it up and down the mineshaft when coming out of the middle. We showed better composure in the first half of the Collingwood game and hit up some targets at 50 but after that we went back to just bombing it in hope and being stagnant. We are probably 1 or 2 proper forwards away from having a decent forward line IF we can fix the way in which we are kicking into the 50.

We need an elite contested ball winner with our first pick. Plus West to come on quickly. Buku needs to either develop as a CHF or replace Wood.
Late picks of small pressure forwards should do the trick. But who they are is a mystery.

I think we probably then need to bring in a finishing style highly skilled midfielder the following year, like J Kelly. Waiting three years for another 3 years for a skilled mid to develop an elite tank would reduce our window. We need to be aggressive and get in quick.
