Haha, just know Pies recruiters have spent some time over in WA the past week interviewing players.

Who do you think we have on our radar? I reckon our late pick might be used on a small forward or outside midfielder.

I really like the look of Atu. He looks to have some really good attributes to work with for a later pick. And in a field position I think we will target.
I like him too, very evasive and a good turn of speed.

Just interested (not doubting you) but where has he stated this?

There might be some merit in going KP heavy this off season (ie: Roughead, Will Kelly, the two Irish lads and this unknown late KP prospect) as Guy was quoted as saying the club doesn't see a lot of KP depth in the 2019 draft.

Here is an excerpt from his speech at the members forum:

"Although we have the 2018 draft in three days' time, we're already looking at the 2019 draft and we don't think that there's great depth in key-position players... (and) we're really confident that the two guys would have been early draft picks," he said.

The two guys he is referring to here are Keane and Tohill. Full article here: http://www.collingwoodfc.com.au/news/2018-11-20/pies-explain-trade-rationale

If we took this late tall you would think that due to minimal list spots we would struggle to get Atu B in.
He said it to me at the members forum as a group of us had a chat with him after it was done

WA is the hardest state to cover draft related content with not having the full footage and there being a lack of scouts in the area. To give you an idea, GWS asked 18 months ago if we had anyone in WA as they didn’t have a scout over there and had to fly people in and out, or just obtain footage.

It’s hard to work out who, I actually would love a Durak Tucker, he’s more of a defender but can play outside, he’s just been injured this year. At the Pick we will have you either need a completely raw prospect or one who’s been injured.

I think Atu will be Cat B rookie. Which to answer people questions I know Snoop Dog was wondering. One of the Irish lads is going to be Cat A and one Cat B leaving a Cat B slot open. Read into that as you will, but looks like we are preparing to add a Cat B rookie...

Hence why I picked Jack Mayo - 194cm KPF who has had injury issues but runs a 20m sprint in under three seconds.

Anyone else having problems playing the draft videos in the draft machine?

Wondering if I have an out dated browser of if my virus protection is blocking something.

What Browser you using?

Sure you're not spreading the creamy salad dressing a bit thick there, though I heard he took several of his opponents to the clinic this year.

Number 37 your Parma is ready, tap tap, is this thing on?

I hear he’s good when he’s fresh but you don’t want a piece of him when he’s off...

So if the bid say for Kelly comes in 40s when can we use picks of our own?

The only reason I'd see the Crows bidding on Quaynor at 8 is if they're particularly keen on Kelly. I'm not buying it myself
Too much risk playing chicken.
I’m with you, don’t buy it.

Only time a club bids is if they really want the player.

Mayo guys continue with the funny puns.

I doubt it will given he’s invited to draft night, but basically what we need is simple - Kelly’s bid MUST be second round if Quaynor’s bid is early (8-15). The way the deficit works is you are forced to deficit off the round you receive the bid that forces you into deficit. So because we traded our 2019 R1, unfortunately Brisbane won’t be chums and take a deficit on our behalf. If it comes R2, no worries we will cop a deficit.

Quaynor is 12th on the Crows board last I heard, so being fair, it should be their next pick after that, but we will see.

I’m all for Pies scribbling a note with the name “Luke Edwards” on it and passing it to the Crows (He was an U16 AA mid this year, son of Tyson).

Then Bruce McAvaney commentating .....

Oh boy! Oh boy! Oh boy!

Ch 7 news said that collingwood will draft Atu.
How long (if we snare him) before we learn how to spell his name?

Till then Atu works.
