Can we read anything into the order that we take Murray and Broomhead?

Would have thought Murray would be the higher rated player ATM, but if we take him second, then maybe it’s an indication we reckon he’s gone?

Broomy hasn't been caught with half of Colombia up his schnozz on match day so that's something he's got over Murray.

I've heard from a bloke I trust who is close with someone in Pies recruitment that we may not rate Wraith that highly. Would be a shame considering a Cat B is a free hit and would give us time to develop someone, but if we don't rate them we don't rate them.

I wouldn't be against the idea of us taking him (given his "free hit" status), but we now have plenty of tall types on our books, and getting enough game time into them all may be a bit of a juggling act as it is, so if Wraith was to join that would make it even tougher. But of course if the club doesn't really rate him, then that's that!!

I think Broomy has been inconsistent, whereas Murray was able to find a rich vein of form this year.

I guess both players would have to step it up to get into our 2019 team (Murray with IQ / Scharenberg coming in, Broomhead with our settled ‘swoop squad’)

I think Broomy's inconsistency is predominantly injury related so have greater expectations that if he gets a consistent run at it he'll come good. Murray has shown he's got pace but needs lots of work on the other aspects of his game, particularly poise and ball use.

Far better to have a player or 2 spending a bit of time at a feeder club than getting to draft time next year and not having any claim to him if he has a break out season.

Most of the kids drafted were taller than their parents. Often by a lot. Will Kelly towers over his dad, and I’ve never thought of Craig as being short.

What’s going on? In one generation? Just seems odd.

I wonder if there's a possibility that he could be kept on at Oakleigh Chargers as a 19-year-old. I think the rules would allow for NGA players to still be taken at 19 (by the club they were tied to), but not sure if any of that scenario could happen.

I'm only really thinking of game time in the Reserves, with Roughead, Kelly and the Irish lads all looking for spots now.

Ned is shorter than Pendles & Degoey. He wasn't the tallest chb. Will looks a big unit.

Marlion Pickett not selected either after we apparently showed interest. Our interest in him seems strange if we have no rookie picks.

Murray replacement in the supplemental period if he (Pickett) gets through?

Also what time does the rookie draft start? I thought it was 5pm.
