If we end up with pick 2 I’d only accept 2 picks in 8-12 range for it or one pick 5-6 and a pick between 15-18.

I think the Crows will have to offer a player to Carlton as part of a trade for pick 1.
I'd go even better.
I would also ask for their first pick next year.
After the bullshit they put us through with Cameron, they will need to offer the farm for pick 2.
Picks 7 & 12 (as they stand currently) and their first pick next year.
Sorry, if I sound like a vindictive prick, but if we had to pay overs for Cameron last year then they can pay overs with interest this year.

"We need some class and some speed and some grunt. There's some midfielders that give you that but if the 6'10 Kings are around, you never know," Lethlean said.

They must have grown 3 inches from last time I looked.

Have it on good authority that both the king twins have Flatley rejected going to Gold Coast and have refused interviews with the Gold Coast . Talk about having tickets on yourselves

If that's the case, the AFL must investigate and if it is found the King's or their family or representatives have made such statements, they should be barred from entering the draft for 2 years.

The drafts are diluted enough without this sort of crap from petulant draftees, so it is high time something is done and the AFL makes an example of someone to preserve a modicum of integrity, which I know is asking a lot given it is the AFL and all.

not a chance. AFL are soft and will give in. "Players deserve a choice in where to play" shouted by the left wingers. As we all know if that's the case it would be just the Collingwoods, Hawks and Essendons that will get the cream.

LMAO. What a massive reach. Dude... deregulation and unrestricted labour markets is a right wing position if anything.

Ensuring that the talent is evenly distributed to give every club a fair shake and give the strugglers a leg up would be more of a left position. There is a reason people call the draft, salary cap and other equalisation measures “socialist”.

The trouble is, that while it is happening to non-Victorian teams, they will turn a blind eye. The minute a kid or two say the same thing to Collingwood, Carlton, Richmond or Essendon, watch the measures take place. Absolute joke of an organisation.

Would love someone like McFadyen to come out and say to Vic clubs don't bother bidding on me,because I don't want to play outside of QLD. Eddie's head would explode

I'm not sure this time. I don't think I'd be doing this as a draftee with the gc right now. They're so precariously placed which combined with the AFL's desire to be always right and having an ex AFL person in evans running the place means that they're a different case. The sun's are pretty much run by the AFL these days. It's a very risky move telling the AFL no, which is pretty much what they're doing.

They’ve spoken to the Suns and told them no such thing.

And as mentioned above. Anyone who did reject going there, would have some nerve considering the AFL will be doing all it can to see that club succeed.
The BigFooty 'He said, She said'. I've learnt over the years to take things with a grain of salt and wait for things to actually happen. Take Jeremy McGovern for instance, a lot of noise that he and his brother were going to end up with Freo this year, then McGovern signs for 5yrs at WC. I'm not saying that the King twins didn't say either things cause as you know people talk to a lot of people and with 'Chinese Whispers' things can change or become embellished. My personal thought that if they are as close as they are as twins then why wouldn't want to play at the same club. 4months till the draft so a lot to happen yet. It would be great for us as well. We continue to build our midfield with one of the best mids in this draft.

GC wont take the King twins.

Too risky to draft 2 talls. They have some decent tall talent already as well.

If they get a pp in round 1 then they will select atleast 1 mid.... maybe 2.

I think atleast one King will slip the top 10.

Already happened to at least some of the clubs - Kavanagh gave off deliberate "only Essendon" vibes, and Grundy narrowed his preferences down to a shortlist based off where he felt he could best develop as a ruck.

Isn't that basically the same situation as the Giants (who were pretty much run by the AFL back at that first draft) and Chad Wingard?
