Actually nah, the gold coast game will still decide which one of us finish lower as we're on the same amount of wins.

This is the ladder predictor with the suns winning+ all the favourites winning.
That would really be a sad end to the year for us.:(
But then it will come good with Sam Walsh.:)

I held onto the hope that Gold Coast would win a few more games which would allow is to win a few more and not affect our draft position. I cannot see St Kilda winning another game at all they are genuinely mud reckon they will be bottom next year . We need the dogs to sneak a win or 2 .

I want us to win every game from now until the end of the year. I honestly couldn’t care about other teams winning or losing and how it affects our first draft pick.
I'm with you cotter, our selection whether it is at pick 2 or 6 could very well end up the best player in the draft long term anyway.

I'm not pencilling Carlton as a lock to draft Lukosius at pick 1. They could very well go Walsh at pick 1 as they are desperate for mids.
I am hoping that we will well and truly smash GC and would be great to get at least 1 other win so I don’t think there is any chance of having pick 2 anyway. So we get what falls our way, or the best of the rest.

I re-did mine last night, had us at 15. We are going to end up with that potentially awkward 5th-6th pick spot.
I'm not too concerned about finishing 5th or 6th. If that's the case we look at which ever of Jackson Hately, Connor Rozee or Curtis Taylor project as the best fit for the Lions.

We could do a pick swap with North, swapping first round picks and swapping our third round pick for their second round pick. Or if Adelaide wants to trade 12 and 19 to move up to 5 or 6.

Watching St Kilda last night I could see them getting over someone if they're in a bit of a slump. They could easily have beaten GWS if they'd kicked straight from set shots that really weren't that hard.

Reckon Gold Coast should force a trade and get a draft pick and a first rounder and a best 22 player from club lynch goes to .

After last night game, we should be reasonably confident of beating the Suns in round 22, which should see us finishing above the Suns and Blues.

Stkilda and Bulldogs are the only other teams that we can realistically jump. Stkilda seems to have found some type of form recently. While I don't see them as favorites, all their remaining games are winnable if things go their way.

Next weeks games, seem like they'll be pretty defining where we finish

Exactly my thoughts!! If Suns let Lynch go without trade they get a pick straight after there’s at 2 meaning pick 3 there’s, they get one potentially excellent player but still the unknown. Trade him out to the best bidder!! Like one or two first rounders and a experienced player, being a much better option, as it will be years ahead to see any benefit to there club, also show’s not willing to roll over as previously done.

They are also desperate for a forward line that can kick goals.

Another 7 Goals from King yesterday on Collingwood F/S potential Kelly who everyone thinks is one of best defenders in TAC this year

Yes, but a kid that can hold down CHB & then move forward & kick goals is of no value to us.
Our CHB to assist Harris for the next 10 years clearly is.............. Oh Shit.

Why would we need a 2nd Harris Andrews?

That speaks more to the quality of the tall defenders from the TAC cup this year.

After King, Will Kelly is viewed as the next best KPD and all the draft watchers rank him after 30, and as late as 50, on their draft boards*.

*didn’t check @Knightmare’s.

We don’t
Gold Coast do that’s my point
“Booby Beecroct” Gold Coast will definately look at one of the two twins

I appear to be one of the few that will not carry on if we draft a King. Our holes are not exclusive to the midfield. All conjecture given the uncertainty with what we will be armed with.

I think you have taken me out of context?

I'd be adding Chayce Jones to those 3. Reckon he's a bit underrated and if we slip down the draft, then he's a hard running, ball winning inside mid who can kick goals. Has decent upside imo.

Ian Hill would be my vote.
Isnt hill tied to west coast via nga. The eagles will take him before Jarrod cameron, which makes me think young cameron could still be available at our 2nd, 3rd or even 4th pick. Eagles may match any bid but i still hold some hope he could be here playing with his brother next year. I think our first pick will be either 2 or 4, decided by our game against the suns. So its walsh or smith our first pick, berry 2nd pick, cameron 3rd pick, Mcfadyen 4th. Rookie list voss n coleman. Happy with that haul.

Goodo, i wasnt sure, then he is likely to be well on the radar of freo and the eagles. Im with ya, if he is still available at our second pick he would certainly be worth a crack. A mid that can also play hb with pace would be very handy indeed. Similar to tom berry in that respect. We have a few good young mids that can go fwd so one that can go back would be a great addition. I do think he will be snapped up in the west (more likely freo) before we can get a shot at him.
