They will be on equal points with the Suns, and a batter percentage.
No they won’t. They’ve won 2 less games.

Are you looking at ladder predictor, because by the AFL live ladder, Carlton are still 4 points behind the Suns if they win today. At this stage, by the live ladder, the Suns look like pick 1 and 2.
Carlton are a chance to knock the doggies off at Etihad next week I reckon. If they win today and beat the doggies next week, Gold Coast will have pick 1 and 2 most likely. Doggies should win though realistically.
Stacks on BuntonRules !!!Have I just been shouted down? My bad.
I'm backing Carlton in, they are much harder at the footy today. Killing them in contested possessions. And Freo will win today

Never underestimate how shit Carlton are.
The three priority picks are for Gold Coast, St Kilda and Brisbane to pick three lucky players to get the hell out of Carlton.Rumours of three teams getting priority picks were slightly off the mark. If 3 priority picks are given, should probably be one to the Suns & two to Carlton.
Will Martyn the standout for me, don’t mind the big lad Ryan aswell he is already 203cm. Hammond is a spoiling machine and Reville is a good moverVIC COUNTRY U17 V. QUEENSLAND U17

Some Vics who impressed - pretty much all the fav's here - HedgeFund Darcey Chirgwin was good, Bicks Mitch Martin and Izaac Grant impressive. Really like Fraser Phillips and Flynn Perez with that 'touch of class' they have. Josh D'Intinosante was great, Mitch Mellis keeps providing, Lachlan Potter's speed fantastic. Hugo Ralphsmith and Miles Bergman were both pretty good as well.
Wow, Knightmare now has Connor McFadyden at 9 in his power rankings.
With this, and you blokes being Red-Hot on Walsh (a Lions fanatic growing up) surely you would be looking to upgrade Pick (4-5 likely at this stage) to Pick 1 to secure Walsh, plus grab a few 2nd rounders for points for McFadyen?
Walsh doesnt last to pick 4/5. We can take that as a given.
If Adelaide get pick 1 off us, presumably you guys would instead be looking for pick 2 (surely the Crows take Lukosious at 1).
What's the thinking around this on here among you blokes? Worth it to upgrade your 1st rounder to get Walsh, or not?

I dont watch too much of you guys being a WA supporter of Carlton (it's all Freo and the Eagles over here) but to me it just looks like you guys would be super keen on Walsh as your number 1 target.
Surely there would be concerns around Rankine and the 'go home' factor? He's also the kind of player, that if he isnt settled, is quite likely to be a bust. I see him as the biggest risk v reward player in the draft (and I rate him highly, as the most talented in the draft, but also with the biggest red flags attached).
I honestly would have thought you guys would have a hard on for Walsh being an absolute Lions tragic growing up.
Especially with Rockliff leaving last year, and Beams a chance of seeking a trade; an extra gun Midfielder would be pretty high on the agenda wouldnt it?

You can't invokd the go home fact, this hysteria was misleading last year, and the reason many would have rejected Rayner.Rankine and McFadyn would be two great first picks.Rankine is a matchwinner, and exactly what we needSurely there would be concerns around Rankine and the 'go home' factor? Purely hypothetical...but if beams left to Essendon for pick 10, what about 5 and 10 for 1 and 19?Surely there would be concerns around Rankine and the 'go home' factor? That trade would suit us if Walsh was our target. I would be working with Essendon to come up with a top 5 pick for Beams or we just keep Beams. The top 5 prospects are elite and then it tapers off abit. I would rather get 2 of either Smith, King twins, Lukosius, Rankine then Walsh and a end of first round prospect.Purely hypothetical...but if beams left to Essendon for pick 10, what about 5 and 10 for 1 and 19?
