I’d want more. Their two first picks for our first and second. If Rankine isn't drafted in the top 4 then hopefully the Crows offer us their first and Carltons second rounder for our first.
~ Pick 5 for pick 9 and 24.

But 9 and 24 would be a reasonable return.

Hi guys.
Interested in your comments regarding trading pick 4 if Rankine was still on the table and trying to shaft Adelaide. Freo have had similar discussions on our board, but the reality is he is highly unlikely to be there at our pick.
Anyway, I think Rankine would be superb with your style of play. Why would you give that up? Unless you think Rankine is a massive flight risk.
Don't mind the way you're going about your rebuild either. Clearly an exciting brand and if you get it right you're in the game obviously if you turn it over you'll get scored against. I'd prefer to watch that then how Freo are going about it. Although we're probably a couple of years behind you guys in the whole rebuild plan.
If Rankine is still there at our pick then i reckon we would seriously look at a trade. Would depend on our rankings and if we think a player we like will still be at 9. But the ability to pick up an extra pick would be invaluable. Pick 5 for the crows first 2 picks, even if we then still swap our 2nd for their 3rd or something would be value. If McFayden is going to be around that 20-25ish mark, trying to move our 2nd pick forward wouldnt be a bad idea.

You should've traded out Ross Lyon years ago
How many years ago? I mean it’s easy in hindsight but he did take us to a GF in 2013 and minor premiers in 2015.
So 2016? I mean that wouldn’t have made sense. 2017? Well all of a sudden that’s not years ago. That’s last year.
He may be past his use by date and his style not suited but your comment is easy in hindsight.
And the complete defence style he had you playing cost you both games.
Competition is getting scared of Fagan’s Men!There was talk on 360 about PP's and I am not sure if I heard correctly, but im fairly sure Chris Scott threw up Lions as an example / hypothetical as he was talking - and basically said 'people might point to the Lions and say they should get one, well... there NO WAY brisbane should be getting a PP'.. and everyone just nodded, it was a very casual and excepted remark, clearly highlighting how much respect he has for our young list, but also making a statement that he and Id assume others in the industry will not be happy if we get one.
Part of me liked it.. the respect of not being considered a rabble.
Imo there is no way we will get a PP.
No one like him in the draft and is a match winner. We need classy mids and he fits that perfectly.Chris Scott's last comment was directly related to PP's at the beginning of the draft and eventhough it was right at the end of the segment as they went to the ad-break the others on the panel were a resounding no.There was talk on 360 about PP's and I am not sure if I heard correctly, but im fairly sure Chris Scott threw up Lions as an example / hypothetical as he was talking - and basically said 'people might point to the Lions and say they should get one, well... there NO WAY brisbane should be getting a PP'.. and everyone just nodded, it was a very casual and excepted remark, clearly highlighting how much respect he has for our young list, but also making a statement that he and Id assume others in the industry will not be happy if we get one.

Ross Lyons fearless defensive style with strong tacking and bumping is what made his name with Fitzroy and the Bears, so it's no surprise he coaches the same way. Cobbler didn't come here to troll so let's leave off denigrating an ex-club stalwart can we?

It should also be noted that (without actually highlighting Carton) Scott commented on about trading out senior experienced players for draft picks and that clubs are part of the reason that they're in their current situation and shouldn't be rewarded with PP's.
Hmm I wonder if the Suns have already been told they have priority access to one or two state league players considering an article has just come out with the Suns list boss confirming their interest in Marlion Pickett from the WAFL...Listening to The Age podcast this morning, just a few bits
> Jake Nial seems to think that the discussion around the start of the first Rd priority picks was purely softening up the other clubs for the at best a mid first rounder or a end of first round.
>He also mentioned that the Blues should thank the suns as AFL HQ are really keen to assist the suns but can't do so without helping out the blues who will finish last.
> Priority pick may not be a certainty as AFl HQ looking at alternate ways to give clubs assistance ie: mature age recruits outside of the draft
> Caro said Lions have every right to feel peeved if suns and blues get generous assistance considering our past result and only receiving an end of First Rd PP
> Lynch going to Tigers will set in motion a review of Free agency rules, however, Caro did say how can you shut the gate? The horse has bolted well an truly.
