I'm more curious how the teams who are supposed be leading the race to get him can afford him. Pretty sure both Collingwood & Richmond have a lot of starts to pay & have also recently poached players from expansion clubs, that can't be cheap.

Definitely a chance. Walsh will go top 3/4, Berry is currently around the low to mid 20's mark which is where our second pick will end up after F/S, NGA, possible FA compensatory picks.

Not sure why we wouldn't go for Lukosius if he was available at our pick. Walsh strikes me as a ball winner with not many weapons. Lukosiius will be a match winning key forward.

I've had a look at some of the live reports of today's National champs game and apparently Lukosius is a class above.

Whoever has pick 1 will be taking him no doubt about it.

I've seen a couple of pundits say he is the best at junior level they have ever seen and that his attributes are very transferable to the AFL, WOW! big wrap.

If you have 1 and you pass on Lukosius then you should lose your job

Saw Tom lynch contest on the wing and then about 30 seconds later he was back inside forward 50 beating his opponent on the lead, marking and kicking a goal.

If that’s what Lukosius can bring to the team I’d be more than happy giving up pick 1 for him.

After this weekend's games (with a long way still to go)...... I now have both Bailey Smith & Tom Lewis ahead of Walsh.
Lewis in particular today, when Vic Ctry seemed to dominate the Ruck taps, was well ahead of Walsh.

I'd add Vandermeer and McHenry into that group.

And McLennen as a defender .... really like the look of him .... clean hands/good by foot/good decision maker.

And that was some game today from an underage KPD in Will Gould .....very impressive.
