The disparity in how some rank Collier-Dawkins compared to McFadyen is a bit surprising.

I'd say at this stage you'd be picking either of them more on potential than proven performance for the most part. But McFadyen's influence in the champs was significantly above RCD's, so I think either McFadyen deserves to be higher up draft boards or RCD should be dropping.

Why not? Heeney, Mills & Hipwood were all division 2 players that went high.

FFS it was the name the AFL gave the competition, before they changed it and now call it the Academy Series.
FFS? Really?
I think you may have misinterpreted my post.

The FFS wan’t aimed at you personally. It was more to do with that the tit for tat argument that had gone on for a couple of pages and it was really a nothing topic that some Lions fans decided to get their nose bent out of shape over.

I rarely look at who posters are when reading the forum, as I find it removes my personal bias towards or against some posters, otherwise I would never “Like” a post from Nunez or irel.

That doesn’t feel like a productive way to finish a post designed to prevent any further tit-for-tat.

Maybe if you took notice of the posters you'd have fewer personal biases. Everyone makes a mixture of good and bad posts.

Tarryn THomas is a the same and should go 10 or earlier

No idea why he's rated so highly. Been awful every game I've seen him in. Physical attributes will only carry you so far. Looked lost 3/4.

Killed em in the div 2 carnival ! But yes did struggle for the alias that's for sure , maybe carrying an injury not sure
But is held up with the best by recruiters

My post, was me just having a bit of a laugh at our Guest, nothing more, nothing less.:D All smiles for me. It has got me in a lot of trouble over the years.
As for your post above, it has got a little personal.

The concept of the Allies is good, but it must be harder to play well for the Allies in comparison to the other teams. I would cut some Allies players like Thomas a little slack and pump up the ones that dominated. Many of the Vic, SA and WA boys would've played significant rep footy together since the 12s

Article on Fox Footy says Adelaide are absolutely desperate to get Lukosios and will have (at current ladder) picks 8, 13, 19 and 37 (plus anything that comes for Sloane and McGovern), willing to do whatever it takes to get pick 1 and pick him.

Not surprising but I think our first pick will be outside that range. Will probably be an in interesting trade period.

Not if Gold Coast can start winning.

I'll be cheering them on for the remainder of the season, starting against Essendon this week, which is not beyond the realm of a possibility.

Don't think they have it in them tbh but I'll be cheering.

It would be the most Essendon thing ever for Essendon to definitively rule themselves out of the finals by losing to Gold Coast.

There is a fine line between hoping we lose with an eye on draft picks and hoping someone else does better than we do for the same reason ... but I can roll with that - as long as I am still hoping we win as well!

How much of a factor is current-years-wins or perceived-future-trajectory compared to previous years pain in PP calculations?

Might as well push PP out of mind now, mate. We're too good. Sounds weird when you consider we're talking about a team on only three wins but we're on 88.9% and could easily be on 7 wins or more if some things went our way.

With David Noble confirming that live pick trading will be coming in this year on draft night IMO we will see a fair bit of this happening particularly the first round or so. The Adelaide clubs could be offering up some juicy trades/picks to get Lukosius, Rankine and a few other SA prospects in the first round.

We beat the suns and saints easily and I honestly think we are going to be super competitive with chances this week and against Adelaide and north . I am pretty confident we finish above the saints leaving us with pick 5 . I cannot see Carlton trading someone with the talent of lukoscious out unless Adelaide lose their marbles and offer overs which seems a strong possibility and even then nobody gives up pick 1 these days . With so many high draft picks which Carlton have used which have been wasted you would think Walsh or lukoscious seem as good a bet as any. I think Adelaide will go to Gold Coast to nab lukoscious or rankine. In end I’d feel pretty happy about adding someone of bailey smiths ability to our midfield group with 5 good blend of contested and uncontested.
