Happy to have pick 4 and take Rankine and laugh all the way home.
A long way to go but we probably would need a top 2 pick to nab Rankine.

Credit to you too lionshine, you certainly identified Liam Ryan last year if not the year before as someone that would impact the AFL immediately and he has certainly done that. Following your lead last year, I felt the same way about Liam and I'm looking forward to tracking his progress.I would like us to try and find a ready made small forward from the state leagues in this years draft to add some more potency to our forward line in addition to Charlie. Liam Ryan and Zac Langdon have both come in and proved to be handy for their sides this year.

Bayley Fritsch is apparently one we were keen on last year as well and he's had a decent start to his AFL career as well playing as a small/mid sized forward. We should definitely look to the state leagues to try and identify a ready to go player who can come in for us as early as next season.Credit to you too lionshine, you certainly identified Liam Ryan last year if not the year before as someone that would impact the AFL immediately and he has certainly done that. He is very small framed that would be the concern.Wonder if Sambono is still on a few clubs radars.

Oh yeah super skilled, he might be a few years before he fills out a little. I haven't heard of issues with his commitmentHas high level skills though. In a club environment he could flourish. My guess is that it'll come down to hos commitment.
I would have thought we had enough players who can play the small forward role. Cameron, Bundy, MRobbo, Zorko, Taylor & Zac Bailey.I would like us to try and find a ready made small forward from the state leagues in this years draft to add some more potency to our forward line in addition to Charlie. I would like to see us look for a long term replacement for Hodge, A smaller defender who can play that last line of defence and marshal the backline.
I did consider adding Rayner and Starcevich to list, but considered them more medium forwards. But they still play the same role, they're just a little taller. So over all, not counting KPF's, I believe our list is pretty well stocked with small and medium forwards, and mids who can rotate forward. Still need to keep adding quality depth to our midfield (and all parts of the ground really).Starc played a great small forward role in the NEAFL so add him to the list.
I also feel that we have a fairly good compliment of small forward/mid types. Can also see Beams playing there in the next few years as where he started.I would have thought we had enough players who can play the small forward role. Cameron, Bundy, MRobbo, Zorko, Taylor & Zac Bailey.

More to add to that list and our style is reflecting Richmond and Dogs to an extent with Rayner and hopefully Starcevich being able to fulfil that role.I did consider adding Rayner and Starcevich to list, but considered them more medium forwards. I honestly thought Jaden McGrath could have been that player (whilst I think a tad smaller than Hodge) based on an albeit small sample size of games.I would like to see us look for a long term replacement for Hodge, A smaller defender who can play that last line of defence and marshal the backline.
Yeah, I wrote a long post last year saying that I believe teams no longer play a midfield of 5 plus a ruck. Now you're small defenders and forwards need to be play through the middle and wing, so that you have more players at the contest.I also feel that we have a fairly good compliment of small forward/mid types. Gardiner really impressed, Witherden will be a very good player and think that Cox will be as well so do feel that we have these types and possibly Witho will be able to fulfill that QB position when older.

Midfield quality is definitely a must and think that we will see this happening again this draft.
Ideal haul:
Walsh or Rankine
Tom Berry
Jarrod Cameron (but is West Coast academy so will be hard)
Also maybe these guys:
Jake Bradshaw
Casey Voss
Nick Blakey
James Rendell
So delist OOC Dawson, Bewick, Bell, probs Walker, Paparone, Barrett.
Maybe he will retire, if the reason he isn't playing is because of the concussion issues.wish we could delist frost somehow
Not on the injury list, not playing in the twos... Frost is a strange one. Really hope he’s over the concussion curse.wish we could delist frost somehow

As to players to add we really need running halfbacks. They win games. Cox is one in development, but would like to have more. Rich and Witherden don’t have that line breaking speed. We have tall options covered in Paps and Allison, we need medium small defenders with speed.
Funny you mention line breaking halfbacks we seem to have one coming through our academy currently, an Adam Saad type would be amazing for us
Keidean Coleman
Half-back
182cm/75kg

"Keidean is an indigenous boy who plays as a half-back flanker. He has really good evasive skills, he's a 'slingshot' type of player who gets things going. He has to improve the defensive side of his game but he's got some real AFL attributes."

It would certainly be nice to get some mids from the Academy. (Allison and Keays but a couple more would be handy)Mcfayden reads as a really interesting prospect. 190 cm mid with a cricket background could make for an agile big man. Would love to have one or two talented academy boys this year - would be a good year to get them cheap given the depth of this draft.
