Given how much has been written in this thread about Rankine as a potential number one pick, I've found it surprising that not once has he been named in the rolling best 22 team on Future Stars.
Has he not continued with his blistering form from last season or is there something else at play.
No idea who he is, but a kid by the name of Irving Mosquito has been named in the forward pocket each week. What a name; up there with an indigenous called Winston Chainsaw about 7-8 years ago.
Edit, just read that Mosquito is from Halls Creek (where Cedric Cox hails from and seems to be following a similar path in relocating to play TAC Cup footy) and is part of Hawthorn's NGA - Link . Its probably been discussed elsewhere, but how on earth are indigenous kids parts of the Melbourne based club's academies? Surely, these indigenous kids would have been playing AFL irrespective of the NGA. I was of the understanding that it was targeted at kids from other sports or ethnic backgrounds that hadn't played AFL.
