Any QLDers on track to get drafted? Where's Connor McFadyen expected to go?

I'm late on this I klnow but I did tune in to those two U18 games yesterday.

First of all.....Rankine......just WOW!!!!!

PLays like Aker in his prime........only at age 17 (18?)

If there are no "personal" or go home factors he could easily go Pick 1, depending on the old "needs" factor.

I really haven't seen much of Lukosius but thought his game was prettty ordinary TBH. I'm assuming that his larger body of work is what everyone is raving about.

Ben King impreseed me (and assumably the SA coach who sent Lukosius to him). Am I right in thinking the injured twin (Max) is rated even higher?. If so , the temptation for the Blues or the Suns (especially ex-Lynch) to draft one of them would be pretty high wouldn't it? I've heard it said the Suns don't want either of the Kings but is this factual ot just speculation/assumption?

McFayden looked good....is he linked to us via the Acadamy?

Thought B Smith was pretty ordinary but then again he was playing for a badly beaten side.

Connor Rozze looks like a player

The Sudanese guy off halfback was exciting and had plaenty of pace but I thought he butcherd it a number of times

McFadyen is an even better player than McFayden, in the mould of Rayner being an upgrade on Raynor.

Looks like a bit of a bull doesn’t he?
Loves the contest (which we definitely need a few of) kicking needs some work.
But certainly a bit to work with.

His field kicking looks pretty effective based only on the two champs videos. He spots up a few targets in 50.

Has he had a bit of a growth spurt recently? His kicking action looks like it would work a fair bit better if he was a few inches shorter, perhaps it hasn't quite caught up yet.

Off the top of my head, I think he has also been playing cricket recently, so wouldn't have been doing pre-seasons and dedicating as much time to skills and fitness as others.
I think after 2 pre-seasons and a season in the NEAFL we will do very well with him.

Connor will be an interesting one. Does really well in the contest but obviously his marking is a strength too. I'd probably develop him as a HBF (to help work on his kicking efficiency) with a look to becoming a midfielder once he fills out. Looks a nice athletic prospect

Seeing how much Bailey's improved his kicking since we drafted him makes me confident we can do the same with McFadyen.

Seems similar to Dawson. Worse kicking but actually attacks the footy.

I’d be surprised if Coleman doesn’t attract a bid in the mid-late rounds of the main draft.

If I had a pick between 7 and 12, I’d be strongly considering bidding on West. He’s really impressed me.

I'd agree with that at the moment, but McFadyen has all the hallmarks of the type of player who shoots up the rankings in his draft year. Still early in the year - if his momentum continues and he continues to develop, I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up a late 1st-early 2nd rounder. A few more glimpses in the next couple of months could see that happen.

Could be wrong but there doesn't seem many big bodied midfield types this year which could increase his value. They mostly seem on the smaller side.

Just plop Connor McFadyen in the back pocket for our NEAFL side and let him slide into relative obscurity for the rest of the season. I definitely want us to get Keidean Coleman on our list as well, late draft or rookie would do nicely thanks.

Anyone know how our other FS kids - Voss, Bradshaw, Rendell - are looking? Draftable/rookie types, or not up to it?
