Irrelevant now but if someone said we want Bedford at pick 73 for 9 points we wouldn't have been able to match because we had no picks left worth points?

Assuming past 73 we can match the pick free?

You can go into deficit and pay it off next year. Would mean a pick next year slides 9 points so if it's our first it probably stays in the same position anyway.

glad we took some half back/mid/wing types and a small pressure fwd. was what I was generally hoping for from this draft.
the phantom draft fools had me worried for a while there that we were looking for a tall forward and a ruckman lol.
Hore looks like an ok back up option if we need a Lever type intercept defender as well I suppose.

Hore is a couple of inches shorter than Lever sitting half way between Lever height and Salem/Hibberd/Lewis height.

We haven't really had a true mid size defender on the park and he could be a good option in games where we don't need to play 3 talls.

yeah that's what I think will happen in the future when Levers back to his best. Lever and May as the 2 key defenders with a 3rd mid sized who's good in the air. we've been trying to get J.Smith to be that at times but it wasn't really working for us. I can see a bit of a clean out of backline talls coming at the end of next year actually.

Possibly! Hore is pretty much the exact same size as Wagner so will be interesting to see who gains the ascendancy in the pecking order.

tried that the other year and didnt work out so not sure we go again reckon he'll ask to be traded at years end
