Hey Guys, seems to be few rumours floating around about 2 Meter Peter on our site. I hadn't heard much about it but thought i'd come to the source. You think there's anything too it, or utter rubbish?

I’d say rubbish

Definitely nothing to that. Lives with his best mate (Touk), Re-signed last year, has a Gold Coast girlfriend, on good coin, well known that he loves it on the Gold Coast. I also doubt if he ever leaves he would be going to Adelaide, being a Melbourne boy.

Touk moved out start of the year, Pete lives with his gf and wil Powell

Agreed, i much more excited about seeing our kids next year then any player that we could pick up during trade period.
Bowes, Ainsworth, brodie and scrim all coming into their 3rd year (breakout year) and another season with Ballard and crossley.
Will be an interesting forward line and if no injuries it should be a 2 tall structure with day and wright.
Agree. The foundations are in place and 5 picks in the top 30 this year will have us set up for the foreseeable future. would love to grab an elite small defender this year like Isaac Quaynor with WCE first pick

FB: Joyce (21) Thompson (27) Harbrow (30)
HB: Ballard (19) May (26) Scrimshaw (19)
C: Weller (22) Brodie (19) Bowes (20)
HF: Martin (23) Wright (22) Sexton (24)
FF: Ah Chee (21) Crossley (19) Ainsworth (20)
R: Witts (25) Swallow (25) Fiorini (21)

Bench: Day (26) Lyons (26) Miller (22) Holman (23)

Add 2 more years to this current team and the only person we possibly lose from retirement is Harbrow. Average age of our best 22 is 22

Joyce, Scrimshaw, Brodie, Bowes, Ah Chee, Ainsworth, Fiorini, Wright, Miller and Martin all extremely capable of having break out seasons next year.

2019 I imagine with luck on injuries we'll be around 14 - 8 on the ladder
2020 I can genuinely see us hitting finals.

Also add whoever goes at picks 2, 3, (17), (26), (29) and we have a much better foundation than when we first entered the competition.

Yeah thats what I thought too. Just wanted to find out for sure before I getting my hopes up. Very handy player IMO

HIGHLY-TOUTED South Australian Jack Lukosius did his chances of becoming the No.1 overall pick at this year's NAB AFL Draft no harm with a best on ground performance in the SA school knockout competition grand final on Tuesday night.

But unlike the majority of his eye-catching games where he's dominated as a key forward, the 194cm Lukosius cruised around Norwood Oval in defence, marking everything in sight to showcase his versatility.

Lukosius missed last week's preliminary final win against Rostrevor with illness and had also been sidelined for the past couple of SANFL games with Woodville-West Torrens.

His marking and positional play in defence was a highlight, while he also launched a 60m torpedo down the wing when he couldn't find a short option by foot.

Lukosius collected the Colin Steinert Medal to help Henley Beach end a 38-year drought and win the competition for the first time since 1980, defeating defending champions Prince Alfred College by 25 points – 6.10 (46) to 2.9 (21).

Lukosius's Henley Beach teammate Izak Rankine – projected to be a top-five selection – was dangerous in attack and kicked a long-range goal from outside the 50m arc.

Rankine's turn of pace was electric, but while he was exciting in the forward half, he didn’t win enough ball when playing in the midfield and got caught out in transition at times.

Another of the standouts was Prince Alfred College midfielder Tom Sparrow, who found plenty of the ball.

Sparrow's work in close was very good, but needs to improve his spread from the contest and win more uncontested ball.

Of the contingent who are eligible for the 2019 national draft, Henley forward Jackson Mead impressed with his strong marking and penetrating kick.

Mead is the son of Port Adelaide Power's inaugural best and fairest Darren Mead.

Kysiah Pickett, the nephew of former North Melbourne, Port Adelaide and Melbourne enforcer Byron Pickett, displayed his uncle's trademark attack on the ball.

I would like something more along these lines.....with the news we are possibly chasing Lloyd, Newman from the Swans. If that is the case.

IN: Walsh/Lukosius (2) Smith (3) Lloyd (17) Scott (26) Newman (28) Graham (38) Koenan(42)

OUT: Lynch Hall? Barlow Jaska Rosa Willis Nicholls?

Obviously not sure if Hall/Nicholls want out or not.

On The WASH-UP Callum Twomey now suggests that Suns should draft King twins with picks 2 and 3. What's wrong with him? I don't want to wait 4 years for them to develop. Lukosius/Walsh and Rankine/Smith for me.

The media only saying king twins for go home factor.. since boomer Harvey mentioned it a few weeks ago a few media people have gone with it

Looking good except I am not sold on Newman and not for pick 28. Graham and/or Koenan may end up as rookies. 9-10 changes I think.

Yup i agree there is no way known we should take the twins. Not unless May leaves and we are given another 2 top 5 priority picks lol.

Lukosius or Walsh with pick 2 and smith with pick 3 imo rankine is to risky play and attitude wise imo

Leaning towards Smith over Rankine too. He looks fantastic. I love his break away speed. He would complement nicely Bowes, Brodie, Fiorini.

With a few round 1 draft picks this year Id imagine a couple of those kids playing. With a focus on local talent youd have to say Graham, Nutting, Dawson, Heron, Foster, Boakye, Scott, Spencer and Simington and perhaps a couple of others could take a couple of those positions also. List manager and recruiters have a tough job at this draft and trade period.

Twomey was keen on us taking the king twins back on the GCSUNSCAST a month ago.
I see the value in that. Recruit KPP replacements for future and aim to bring in ready made mids i.e lloyd/newman etc now.

If we went with picks 2+3 id prefer we take lukosious and rankine to eliminate go home factor and get some genuine x factor into the club.
But this time last year we were salivating over LDU and we all know how that turned out so at this stage i wont get my hopes up.

^ that doesn't quite work
1. Willis is currently rookie listed, so jettisoning him frees a rookie spot not a senior list spot
2. Jaska is currently rookie listed, so jettisoning him frees a rookie spot not a senior list spot
3. you haven't allocated a senior list spot for Macpherson who has to move from the rookie list to the senior list.

you have 8 senior list ins, and 5 senior list outs.

Yeah you're right. But as I said "something more along these lines'. Move them around anyway you want. Move McPherson to an IN. Move Graham Koenan to rookies. Use Picks differently. I'm sure you get the general idea with where I was heading....it was more the idea of who may come in and who may go out.

This season we had only 38 senior players plus 7 rookies with Holman and Macpherson up graded this fills in those two senior spots.
With Lynch Hall Rosa Barlow all gone we need to delist at least a couple of more senior players OR the AFL allow us to extend our list.
We currently to my knowledge have 5 players out of contract.
Thompson
Harbrow
Lonergan
KK
Leslie
Unless the league allows us extra list spots I would say 2 of these players will be moved on.
Would expect Thompson and Harbrow to be retained .
Any deals for Hall I reckon would involve future draft pick.
