In fairness to the Saints’ board they did watch us hand over two free 2nd round picks to WCE last year. They probably think they’re paying overs by giving us back a C grade mid. :rolleyes:

Well he managed 15 disposals and 0.4 goals in each of his 13 games this year at 26 yoa

They can keep him. Relatively unspectacular at both clubs. We need better.

To be honest , if everything become fact then there are no discussion in a forum . Eg Mc veigh signed a one year contract extension with Sydney. Fact revealed end of discussion.

Not really, no.

But the idea that we get the same priority compo as Carlton is infuriating.

Like Brisbane were and are, we are trying like mad to keep our good players. Offered big $ and years to Prestia and JOM and Lynch, paid a packet for Gaz. We don't want to rebuild, just not getting much of a choice.

The Blues made a conscious decision to go younger and hit the draft. Really annoyed that they might get a PP before us b/c they aren't winning games b/c they traded out players who could easily have stayed.

Hoping the AFL feel the same. Maybe a Suns pp at #11 (right before the finals teams) with the Blues getting one at #20 (after everyone has a pick). Would prefer we get #19 and the Blues get thrown a bone with #38.

I did get some information a few months ago from somebody i know that is close to Mav Weller
He did tell this person he will be on the gold coast and looking foward to playing with his brother so not sure if thats just his wish or there is some agreement with the suns. But his place in melbourne is only leased to him until november

I just can't see where he would fit into the team with list spots pretty limited right now. If he's a 'list clogger' in the team that came 3rd last, he'll be a list clogger for us too

Well his contract has expired and you'd think he'd be heading back to the Coast if St Kilda don't recommit
I guess if he's delisted we might pick him up on a rookie spot?
I just can't see anyone trading for him- but we did give The Eagles 2 free second rounders and paid pick 2 for his brother so anything's possible at The Suns
Surely our blood oath to the Wellers has been paid in full by now?
