Are you taking a piss ? Marion Pickett also better than Lemmann.
No. Just trying to make Honeychurch recruitment look ok. He's a pretty bad player. Would rather bring in a random state league player or keep Spencer on the list.

Spencer is way overated by people here , he should be like Mitch Maguire , Ryan Hebron go to state league and improve . Sometime players get delisted improve ( eg Holman , Gower, menegola ) by playing state league.
In saying that honeychurch is :poo:

Honeychurch the latest fringe player linked to us.

Honey church is not an AFL calibre player

Kicked 15 goals 25 behinds in 35 games as a forward (predominantly as a pressure forward)
List clogger in my opinion

Interesting with KK
He's clearly a great talent who's underperformed due to other issues.
I'm sure Melbourne will be talking to KK about how Brayshaw has turned his career around after concussions issues.
They'll be wanting a readymade Jordan Lewis replacement.

Don't want us to see us losing talent off our list.

Honeychurch is no good.

But still better than Lemmens.
From what I know of the 2, I'd rather Lemmens. I think his best is still ahead of him. He's getting stronger. He's a ferocious tackler. Breaking his wrist this year made that really difficult. I don't think he fully recovered from that. It also seemed to stuff up his marking. When fit, he creates several scoring opportunities per game. He needs more composure with his set shots. He can nail them pre-game, but seems too nervous during the actual matches. Because he can kick them in the warm-ups, I think he can eventually improve his kicking in matches as well. When fit, he'd be one of the first players I'd pick, mainly for that ferocious tackling.

I know we suck but gee the negativity on the board has gotten bad. I'd prefer to discuss how to maximise what we can do with the situation at hand rather than shit on the club and it's players constantly.

Getting harder and harder to want to post on here.

Taking a general feel of the water with these reports around. Would we be happy to trade Pick 3 and a later pick (36+) for McGovern and 8?

Crows will be able to pick up Rankine, we get a lead up medium forward that we lack and still pick up a really good midfielder at 8? Filling two roles with 1 pick.

We still keep pick 2 and bring in Lukosius as well. All of a sudden our forward line looks like:

McGovern - Day - Martin
Sexton - Wright - Macphearson
With the likes of Ainsworth and Holman who can rotate through there from the midfield as well. Lukosius can also be put somewhere in there as well.

Forgot to add, it all depends on McGovern actually wanting to come here and Adelaide willing to play ball.

People just need to relax , just a discussion forum no big deal , if some don't like McGovern , can always think about what you like to pick at 2 and 3. Everybody can just fantasy what their dream players in GC jersey .

Do not want or need McGovern. Not worth a first round pick and would not be nearly as good up here as he is surrounded by one of the best forward lines in the AFL down in Adelaide

Yep, Lemmens just needs to take a chill pill. He tries too hard. All between ears. He should just relax and be confident. I remember under Rocket he did have several very good games. It's in him. Lemmens constant bashing on this forum does not sit too well with me as a Suns supporter who supports the whole team. I have no problem with criticism of players when it's done with a bit or respect. I just hope he does not read this forum.

Obviously McGovern unlikely to be traded to us.

In saying that why wouldn’t we want him?
Can’t understand the rationale of just saying flat out no.

An athletic 23 year old (to be 24 by start of seaso ) who can take a contested mark and has played 50 games.

In no world would I sell the world for him. He is a decent player who obviously has had it easier in Adelaide’s forward line than ours. Still think he could provide 5-6 years of good play by which time our team should be really in their prime.

I think he would be worth a pick or equivalent in the order of pick 15-20.

No doubt you can get good players in the 15-20 range
Of the last 5-6 years there have been gems
2017: Higgins, Richards
2016: berry, spp
2015: doedee, Gresham, Burton, himmelburg, fiorini
2014:
2013: Zak Jones, Blake acres

But also players who don’t meet expectations - too early to write people off from last few years
2017:
2016:
2015:
2014: Garlett, boekhurst, durdin, Langford, Laverde,
2013: Lang, apeness

You know what you’re getting and it’s above average for what has been chosen in that draft range the past few years.

He certainly puts in 100% effort but it’s jusy wild maniac unbridled effort.

The classic scenario was in the last few rounds of the year where he sprinted up 100% effort to smash someone who had the ball and their back turned, the opposition slightly shifted weight sideways and because Sean was going 100% straight line he just clipped the guy on the way past and failed to make the tackle.

Effort still needs to be directed and focussed in the right direction and in the right way.

Interesting dew put him back to defense last week. I thought he was alright. His field kicking seems better just hitting up a target in front of him rather than needing to kick goals. Honestly I don’t think the forward experiment worked. Would be ok with seeing him play back next year.

Depends how desperate Crows are after Rankine. I am greedy, I would probably consider trading pick 3 for McGovern and picks 8 and 12 and give them back 2nd round. I still prefer Lukosius/Walsh and Rankine/Smith on our team. But we do need some mature players who can play. I doubt he would join us.
