He could be part of a deal with Richmond on top of compensation pick 3.
Will be a DFA or a trade of pick #103 for #105 just to facilitate the move

He is a good player and a great role model, If he ends up at GC you guys will really appreciate what he brings to the team
Still very much loved member of the Tiger family and deserves to play AFL

Gold Coast have had a meeting with Anthony Miles, wouldn’t be a bad pick up.

Ben Keays also looking for a move to the suns for more opportunity’s.
I imagine these are the sort of picks we can expect this season. Miles would give us good midfield coverage and Keays is a QLD lad who has stifled for opportunity in that stacked Lions midfield. Not the worst options.

Get outdone by Gibbons in last week VFL and injured his shoulder too ;).

Miles is head and shoulders above any VFL listed player, Gibbons is also a good player but Miles is a level up
He didnt have a great game last week but Miles is the 1st player 'Hard' Tagged every week in the vfl and still gets it done

Dont think he is slower than Barlow though as mentioned above probably similar

Who tagged Miles in last week VFL , look like he is doing a good jobs . I only knew Gibbons, Cavara , Rodda in williamstown team.

Not sure about that. They need a contested midfielder desperately. I actually think Barlow would fit there but obviously Lions going after Neale. Wallis is also on their interest list. Keays has talent with flaws. If I remember correctly his kick is terrible.

Not sure who it was just remember the comments saying that he has a tight tag and gets tagged every week but was injured, Think he still got over 20 and not 100% but think he may have kicked a goal.

Richmond team were missing a few regular players last week which made a big difference

Another delisted player from north .

Also is anyone else a little confused as to why we're interested in Anthony Miles?

He's literally Barlow but 3 years younger. Slower than Barlow too, and Dew literally said the reason Barlow wasn't getting games was how many inside mids we had. Who's going to miss our for Miles realistically? Miller, Brodie, Swallow or Lyons
Yep, confused, but ultimately happy enough to take him (since I wouldn't have cut Barlow in the first place). I still think Barlow might have been useful next year, so maybe Miles will be.

Talking to him does not mean GC will definitely get Miles , Is good to check him out though .

I watch nearly the full game , Gibbons absolutely won me over , he is those traditional footballer , will improve in full time environment, Paul Roos tracking him from his Sydney day to VFL said a lot about him .

Could be but i didnt see alot of Gibbons during the year as i only follow richmond in the vfl

A fair comment but Mitch McGovern isn't the answer for us. 32 goals best ever season in a forward line that features Taylor Walker, Tom Lynch, Eddie Betts and Josh Jenkins where he takes the 4th or 5th defender.

Our forward line is actually not so bad. When it's at full force:

Jack Martin - Peter Wright - Alex Sexton
Darcy Macpherson - Sam Day - Ben Ainsworth

Day being the worst of the bunch who we can swing to defense should we bring in Lukosius which looks likely.

Could definitely use some seasoned defenders though. Players like Pittard maybe. Apparently Anthony Miles also on the radar
Mate i've enjoyed our convo so please dont take this the wrong way, but your forward line produced the lowest points for in the AFL last year and they are getting worse this offseason with the departure of Lynch. I think you might need to look seriously into getting more mobile and dynamic talls into that forward line because Sam Day and Peter Wright are both too slow to be really devastating KPF's IMO. 2MP could be a very good 2nd ruck/forward, but relying on him as a lead out FF against #1 defenders is a big ask for the guy.

I agree Luko would be a great pickup for you guys, but I think he would also find it hard to walk into an AFL team and play the hardest position in the game at too high a level straight out of the gate.

I'm not saying MM is the guy, but I think it would be silly to dismiss a guy like that when he's so gettable.

Just my opinion though.

I like Miles but I think he reached his highest Ceilling as AFL footballer , like you said as DFA I think he is worth it , nothing wrong having a chat with him . Better with more option than none at all .

I do think the greatest issue will be salary cap , if 600k is not enough for Mitch at Adelaide , what he want from GC will be more money , surely you think about Jack Martin , 2MP , Swallow , etc their next contract negotiation. A lot of club will be looking at Jack Martin next year as his contract end .

Forward line is not the problem. Suns got hammered in midfield. Without delivery any forward line would look hopeless.

He was starting 22 at Richmond until Caddy,Prestia,Graham came into the team and the game plan changed which did not suit him or his style of play
Unless you can run 12-16 klms a game flat out then the Richmond game plan will have you exposed

If Miles was playing for a club like freo,Suns,Carlton,North,Saints he would be fine but unfortunately with Richmond he just gets exposed
Its not his speed but his game running both ways

The game change, running both way is a must in AFL now , that is the reason Suns always had a bad Third quarter , you see them all press and pressure in first 5-10 minute in 1st quarter and then everything start to fell apart after that .

Absolutely true although another marking target wouldn’t go astray. Our forwards haven’t been able to catch anything down there except a cold since 2016 when Lynch was in form. I think McGovern is not in our line of thinking anyway. Would rather a fit Martin and Bowes in the forward line who both play above their height.

Why Suns would want him if he does not run both way? Richmond you better improve your offer or we match :-) Who else do you suggest?

I reckon Barlow would beat Prestia in a foot race. Am I delusional?

If our midfield can at least equal the contest I think Martin should have a great year forward. We just need to produce some reasonable supply. At first, I strongly opposed Casboult as a trade option but now I am warming up to him. He would give us contested mark for next 2 years and provided depth.
