I think all of Preuss, Hickey Roughead have shown more, more recently than Nicholls. IMO Nicholls would be way down the order of desirability for clubs looking for a ruckman, if Nicholls doesnt get some games and show something this year his AFL career is done, has no currency at the moment, all he has is his GC contract.
I've heard WCE will be going after Z Smith - which is odd as he's still contracted at Geelong for 2019
Gee they must be desperate Smith is very average.

I have to admit, you have demonstrated very effectively how to screw down on a trade in. What’s your opinion on McGovern? Maybe we should send you to negotiate with the Crows.
McGovern at his best is 3rd tall foward who hasn’t played on a decent defender in his time at Adelaide, the most I would pay for him is the west coast pick. And then he would struggle at the suns anyway

How would 17er go as a car salesman? Doesn't seem to have a problem selling a Lemmen like Nicholls for top dollar [emoji6]

Needs to ease up on the facts and load up on the bullshit. All the customers know more about the cars then we do now anyway

What if Adelaide threw in the pandas too? They were supposed to be coming to Currumbin anyway.

Lay off, bud. He obviously speaks English as a 2nd language. You can be exasperated by his errors, or impressed that he's learnt another language so well that he can communicate with a whole bunch of native English speakers. The thing is with some language learners is that they don't just get their Ls and Rs confused in pronunciation, they also hear them differently and learn words the wrong way and so for him it has become "Flitsch", which is actually pretty impressive spelling of a word that must have been hard to master.
He wants you to think that, but from all reports on the Fremantle board, he speaks perfect english and this is all just a ruse or affectation.

Sorry to intrude, but I really hope Melb does not get May. My club needs him more than theirs. I feel like the Suns, if they can't get a commitment from him this year, they should trade him. Nobody wants another Lynch situation for the entire 2019. This club needs stability.
Actually our club needs May more than you and to be honest I would 100% like to see him in any guernsey except for Collingwood.

Serious thought here, does anyone on the thread think that Bennell could ever regain his form, he used to be great getting 20+ touches and a goal or two a game.

What an odd accusation.

Do you guys entertain Freo pick 5 (provided we get 4 from Brisbane) for your pick 17, 26 and 38?

You have so many picks, so would you offload many to secure a quality high pick 6?

Gives you 2,3(Lynch compo) and 6.
Gives us some picks to fill the current gap we have from 5 to 77
If the Suns choose to go nuclear on Lynch and hit the Trade market, surely Carlton's pick would have to be one of the targets. Richmond would be able to provide players and picks to land Lynch through the #1 pick. In a 3 way deal, Carlton and the Suns have the picks required and each want Tigers fringe players. There are a few ways it might go down, including the Suns having to take Levi Casboult in exchange for someone like Aaron Hall, while the Tigers have players for days.

Suns INs: Pick #1, Casboult, Miles?
Suns OUTs: Lynch, Hall?, Pick #29

Blues INs: Pick #17-19, Pick #29, Pick #36, Hall?, Grigg?
Blues OUTs: Pick #1, Casboult

Tigers INs: Lynch
Tigers OUTs: Pick #17-19, Pick #36, Grigg?, Miles?

Miles we know has visited the Suns and is open to the idea. I have chosen Grigg and Casboult as tradebait because both have a year left on their contracts before they can walk away as unrestricted free agents this time next year. The key to this trade even being considered is Richmond's willingness to trust in its current list enough to compromise their draft, possibly next year's draft too. The Blues have the top pick, but an ageing list (6 players over 30) and they have just delisted 3 26yos and a rookie who never debuted in the AFL plus had the cousin Silvagni retire, which mean that only 2 Senior spots and 3 Rookies spots have been vacated. As things stand, the Blues have picks #1, #24, #25, #65 and #73. I don't believe that Carlton will greatly improve this position in the Trade Period without shifting out of pick #1 and the Suns have the best trading piece to help make that happen.

Who knows, maybe Lynch just says yes to going to Carlton?
Maybe
Collingwood comes up with a better offer?
Perhaps
the Hawks shift the deckchairs around and convince Roughie to head north?
Maybe
Lynch gets thrown into the McGovern trade? Would the Tigers trade Jack Graham back to SA to help get MM for the Blues and Lynch to Tigerland?

Just to help you out here, there are 11 question marks and 12 examples of conditionals or modalities. What that means is that I am establishing a likelihood of possibility vs probability. The main theme is written in bold italics which means you should pay attention to that part and respond to it. You are invited to critique, address, examine, interact and all round discuss all ideas, but just remember that you are a guest on this page and you'll only be shown courtesy if you extend the same in kind.
If Lynch did want to go to Carlton they wouldn't be trading pick 1 for him. They'd be requesting him to go to the PSD and get him for nothing.

Why?

He used to be a Freo supporter and post under a different alias.

You can go and ask about him on the Freo board. He’s well known.

What alias?

How did you determine that it was the same person?

It was the Freo supporters calling him out on the draft and trade board, after I stuck up for him for the same reason.

His name is in reference to the Peel Thunder, as he is/was more a Peel supporter than a Freo supporter.

Also, at times he can type very well. In general people from a non English background type and write better than they talk. Mainly because people don’t carry cultural lisps or accents over to typing, as opposed to general spelling and grammatical errors.

My missus is Vietnamese, has a degree in linguistics and literature, 3 masters and finished her PhD last year, and lectures at a Uni here in Brisbane.

She doesn’t understand why some one would go to the effort to type like that, but it’s not because someone has English as a second language.

It takes an concerted effort to type as Peelskin does, which he even said he does deliberately.

His name when he was on the freo board was Meima.

Don't know why anyone cares about how he types or whether hes an english as first language speaker though. contributes meaningful ideas, supports the club and he's rarely rude or disrespectful.

I don't think it is as simple as all that. But he did come out with a rather strange announcement that he was using this forum as some kind of research experiment. Then he promptly disappeared. I actually like a lot of his ideas and contributions, but in retrospect he has deliberately been messing with people. Freo/Suns supporters seem to be a little heightened - must be due to following 2 of the most unsuccessful teams in the modern era (University was the worst).

We'd get him for nothing anyway. Wouldn't need to go to the PSD, and GCS would still get pick 3 compo anyway.

This convo started with some one having a go at Peelskin, then someone else sticking up for him as English is obviously his second language.

I just posted that he was having a lend in regards to his typing.

Conversation went from there.

This is bizarre. I guess it fills in time when there's nothing much else to talk about.

There are a number of possible outcomes in the Lynch Trade

1. Richmond* makes him an offer as a Restricted Free Agent and it isn't matched by the Suns. Lynch to Tigers
2. Richmond* makes him an offer as a Restricted Free Agent and it is matched by the Suns.
The offer will be the first thing that happens in the Trade period, but the Suns have a few days to match the offer.
From the 2nd option, there are further possibilities after this:
- Richmond trades players and/or picks with the Suns for Lynch - Lynch to Tigers
- Another club makes an offer that Lynch and the Suns agree to - Lynch to Pies or Hawks
- Lynch remains at the Suns for 1 year when no other club can satisfy Trade terms
- Lynch goes to the National draft (he has the option of going to the Pre season Draft, but why would he do that?) Lynch to Blues

Lynch should be worth more than pick #3, but such is the arrogance of Melbourne Clubs is that they expect that he and players of his calibre will insist on walking to them for nothing. We are going to see Restricted Free Agents and Unrestricted Free Agents predated on at the Giants and Suns over the next few years unless they start to stand up to these clubs and demand fair value. Lynch could walk next year a true free agent and the Suns would be grateful for compo, but he isn't a very intelligent young man and he has been led by some of the most devious agents in sport who will do anything to land a big contract with the attendant media exposure.
