I have found a few stats sites that say Wigg is out of contract, but the one with the most cred was this article https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/af...8/news-story/fa31f2dcd98d7846ab02a13c6363c83d

I am happy to be wrong on this, but it has been variously reported as both one and two years, so even the Media don't know for sure. The Fox article lists all Suns players coming out of contract this year and it seems pretty accurate. I wouldn't be surprised if Young, Holman and Wigg were all given one year deals with two year options, hence the confusion. All three are listed as out of contract of sites like Footywire, although we know that Holman was extended and it appears he remains on a Rookie deal.
you are right 17er there is conflicting reports that why I asked a staff member of the coaching panel and he said he signed for 2, I couldn't find an announcement on the Suns site about him signing as I thought that would have also stated how long they signed him for at the start

Makes sense with them playing in the U/18 competition.
I hope GC pick McAdam if Carlton take Josh Corbett and sell him off for draft pick . Defeat the purpose of priority access to state mature age players , if they get McAdam /Josh Corbett and sell them off as both attract to other club through national combine invite .

How can a new recruit turn up fat to his new club. That’s honestly shocking to hear; I can understand having too much muscle before pre season starts but fat? Baffling to hear and for a fringe player it reeks of ill discipline which is weird as I thought he was a hard working in and under mid
I sure did not like his look when he turned up.

Am I too harsh? I can see Dew's traits :)

I reckon we would offer him the 5 years, don't reckon any other club offers him that. It is just whether he wants 5 years here or like 3 years at a club contending.

He gets the 5 years on good money from us and then does an Ablett and demands a trade after 1 year

'Former' GC Suns captain

Really exaggerating things.

They do decide on captains each year.. but its not like the captaincy is rescinded at the end of the season.

Screw Richmond

You guys can have

2018 1st round pick, 2019 1st round pick, Josh Thomas, Brody Mihocek for Steven May, and don't match us on Lynch.

GC
Out: Tom Lynch, Steven May
In: Pick 3, 2018 1st round pick, 2019 1st round pick, Josh Thomas

You going to have to pay that for May anyway if you want him

KK rumours surfaced

It reads Dews happy for him to look at his options..
if dew is making the team lists.
How about paying out schoenfield and lemmens before moving KK out.
Poor blokes had head injuries last 2 years.

Suns will regret this

I know this is a long shot but would the Suns accept..

Dom Tyson, 2019 1st round pick, pick 33, pick 45, another pick in the 40s (what we get for Kent)

For

Steven May and Kade Kolodjashnij

You lost me at Dom Tyson - we have plenty of crappy picks. It's a top 6 pick or we wait for a FA compo pick next year.

No.
Late picks aren't what we need. We have 5 in the top 30 already (+38 + 41) without much list space
Just giving us lots of crappy picks doesn't = our current captain

But do you keep May even if he requests a trade?
Depends what the offer is.

If people are suggesting rubbish - see above .. yes I hold him until the following year when we can likely get a top 5-6 pick
If the offer is good (ie. Hogan <> May <> Pick 5) with Freo and Melbourne then yes I'd trade him.

Just for fun
Pick 2 Lukosius ( 18 years old ) - Lynch
Pick 3 Rozee ( 18 years old ) -
Pick 26 Bailey Scott ( 18 years old ) - Risca
Pick 29 trade for Future pick
Pick 38 Koenan ( 18 years old ) - Max Spencer
Pick 41 Graham ( 18 years old ) --mac will

Pick 17/18 for Carlton two state league players

Priority access to state league players
GC Pick 1-5 :).
1) Josh Corbett ( 22 years old ) - KK
2) Shane McAdam ( 24 years old) - Hall
3) Marlion Pickett (26 years old)- Barlow
4) Sam Collins ( 24 years old) - ? Jaska
5) Callum Wilkins (22 years old)- Rosa

Rookie B - Baru .

WTF thats a terrible deal for us!
also not a great deal for us either! could easily get a better first round pick than what was proposed. third round picks don't seem to be of much use to us lately either since we've already got 4 picks inside the first two rounds (+ whatever we get for lynch).

so if those picks dont have any value to us (as in we might not even use them), tyson & 2019 first round for may and kade? terrible.
