- Had already been given a tour of the facilities and loved the community environment in the club mid year

- Got to choose whether to be taken with the suns or nominate for the draft. Chose the Suns.

- Eye injury meant he only got to play half the year. Vision now 100% in both eyes

- Personal goal is just to play as much senior footy as he can. Wants to put himself in the best position possible

- Girlfriend is actually from the Gold Coast, made it an easy decision to move up

- Touk has been in contact plenty to answer his questions and to assist in transitioning up

Touk is the man. Clearly Lynch was not up to the job of recruiting our first premiership team.... time for Touk!!!!

So is hodge - basically on onfield assistant coach. We fold like a pack of cards when the pressure is on so having a senior respected player with a level head to calm it down can only help.

From a Gold Coast perspective nothing... Lycett was signed by Port as a free agent. That was the only move.

• Geelong free agent George Horlin-Smith is expected to land at Gold Coast as a trade rather than a free agency acquisition. Out-of-contract at the Cats, the 26-year-old will be exchanged for a late pick.
