Hombsch is worth nothing and our list manager has already stated several times we dont want to trade picks 2 and 3.
Just be content with one of Rozee/Rankine.

No, we would look at handing over 3 for 6 and 5 if you were to sell 10 and SPP to get it. I'm sure it sounds like overs but we have no need to deal our elite picks without a godfather deal, we are very comfortable to take these picks to the draft (Lukosius and Rankine). Sellers market

They're on the record as saying this doesn't concern them. The guys they have talked to at those picks are willing to come up here. GC has been keen on Luko for months, so won't go past him. The club will back itself in to keep whoever they draft, but it needs to be elite topend talent which we get with picks 2 and 3.

I'm sure the club is doing their due diligence on this. If the club doesn't think they'll settle down then im sure we won't take them and you can pick them up at 6/7 anyway. But you also have no guarantee of this, and you're literally just saying this because you wan't to draft the homegrown SA boys.

Same thing was said about Sam Day during our early years and he's now one of our best clubmen.

Charlie Ballard also an SA boy loving it on the Gold Coast.

Seb Tape was taken at pick 13 in 2010 by us and even after he got delisted loved it up here so much he's playing for the Southport sharks.

I don’t get why people still don’t understand that we have no intention of parting with pick 2 or even pick 3 unless it is for significant overs. Even in the media they speak as if we will just give them up for volume picks.
We are well placed at the moment and aren’t giving up either unless we get a deal too good to turn down or we know out target (Rozee?) will definitely still be there at 6/8.

Now that I think about it, SA guys have traditionally been really good at staying at QLD clubs. We haven't had a single SA guy want to trade back to their home state before. Same with the Lions. Maybe that's why we're targeting them?

We could get Hombsch for peanuts, we won't want SPP he's way too much of a dickhead, and then we could have 2/3/5 and Hombsch instead.

Agree RE: SPP. We can't take the risk on those types of guys until we have really set up our new culture and standards. By all accounts we're on the way, but we can't bring in guys that could ruin and undo that.

What if GC are worried about retaining 2 Victoria boys? Guess we should trade the picks. Guess we should only draft Queenslanders. Are we to believe SPP will stay with GC forever or what if we worry about retaining him?

For Suns, 90% draftees are interstate. You could say about everyone of them he will go home one day. SA boys are probably best for Suns from retaining point of view as none of them asked to go home. Also Ballard is buddy with Lukosius. Port and Crows will bid on St Kilda pick 4 at the draft. That's your best shot and you will have to outbid Crows and pay serious overs (like pick 6, 10,...). Forget Suns.

If you get pick 4 you still get one of Rankine/Rozee.
