can we PLEASE stop posting tony sheahan and ricky nixon? both are just attention seeking dimwits who deserve no airtime anywhere.

As soon as you see either of those names you just tune out

Does anyone know if North have given away their 2nd round pick for next year yet?? I think we can get it off them for Hall given they have already committed to him.
If not send him to PSD and let Carlton or St Kilda take him.

Agree with Hall - he has been about himself all the time, never see him socialise with any players other than the god squad, uncoachable, posting videos on opposition websites. If North don't offer up a pick we will use then no need to do North any favors.

Hall would then need to go into the National Draft or PSD and put a price on his head, which he will then get either from North or another team. Hall would then get his money but North might not get their man for being too cute.

Hall - pick in 2018/2019 draft before 50 or send him to the draft
KK - pick 36 from Demons or packaged up if May deal goes through
Scrimshaw - just keep as no one will offer a top 30 pick given lack of production and the coin he is on for the next 2 years

Crows did not do deal with Lions for pick 5 so I think Neale->Hogan->May is still on.

My perfect draft night for Suns:
1. Walsh - Carlton
2. Lukosius - Suns
3. Rankine - Suns
4. Rozeee - Port (6+10 goes to St Kilda)
5. Smith - Suns
6. Max King - St Kilda

Also happy Rankine to swap position with Rozee.

I would ask 2nd round for Hall or PSD.

Add O’Halloran and Caldwell with our later picks :) Might need to move up a bit to get them though. Total rebuild of future midfield completed in one draft. Rozee, Smith, O’Halloran, Caldwell.

I just get this feeling we won't take Rankine and will somehow do a deal with a SA club with our pick 3.

Based on draft gurus would need to be around 10-15 for Caldwell / O'Halloran could go anywhere from 12-25 so the WCE pick 19 should be reasonable for him.

Yes it is, but I think if he’s still around at say pick 19/24 the risk is worth the potential reward. Give him plenty of time in the NEAFL to get his body right. Back our new conditioning team.
Yes, Caldwell's injuries is the only reason why he is down the order. Early predictions had him 6-10. Not sure I am confident enough to back up our new conditioning team. Just hoping :)

Bit of a left field suggestion, but what would Suns supporters opinion on drafting the King brothers at 2 and 3 instead be? Those boys are keen to play on the same team together and Gold Coast are best positioned to enable that. They'd have a lower flight risk and are highly rated (top 10 at least). Would securing long term prospects be enough to take them higher up the draft order?

I don't see it. Especially with Max who did ACL when 17 years old - very high risk to do ACL again.

Two SA boys is much more attractive option from retention point of view. Also Kings are sticks - will take at least 3 years for them to play regularly. Lukosius, Rankine are much more ready and will play at least 10 games first year in my opinion.

Good idea , I do think the possibility is there for GC to do that.

I, and I suspect a lot of other Suns supporters will be mightily pissed off if we used 2/3 on the King twins. I would be OK taking Ben with a later pick in the top ten if we did a swap of picks but no way to both. Especially when we are a very good chance of taking Graham and Koenen through the Academy / Rookie draft. Judging by Dew’s attitude to Scrimshaw and Jaska, I don’t think he’s prepared to wait 3-4 years for these young talls to be physically ready, especially when we have more pressing concerns through our midfield.

Walsh is not bad fallback at all.
Very true :) if Lukosius is gone I’d take Walsh and Smith in a heartbeat!!!
I do want Lukosius though. We’ve always struggled with that transition from defence to attack, and I think he’s going to be the perfect player to help remedy that, given the way he plays and the weapons he has.

True on your part , but isn't it tired for opposition supporter keep asking the same question about King brothers all the time . Why not tell them the possibility is there but no guarantee it going to happen .

I just get the feeling other clubs want us to take the King boys so they can all just get the players they want. The old “prevent the go home” factor is a huge possibility of backfiring into our face if both boys aren’t playing regular senior footy within the first year or two, which is highly likely. Look at Scrimshaw.

Spoke to Boston before he left the Suns, he lacked confidence in himself and I don't think he liked the pressure of AFL... whether that environment has changed now
Watched both Boston and Davis in the NEAFL GF and played really good games, maybe with age he’s developed more as a player, seemed pretty confident in that game and throughout he year, Boston that is, dealt with pressure well, Davis was just solid across the back all year round.
