Bods the Dad was agitating up to his eyeballs early this year to get the kid out and he is not considered a stand up guy, they took us for a ride and are now giving us condescending bullshit as our consolation prize
Lets mark his papers as to how well he is going 12 months from now and see if he really has the ticker and discipline to make it at the elite level .........….after all if you cant crack OUR best 22 it doesn't augur well for you at Hawthorn, may very well be their next Ty Vickery
Wow coming from you thurls l take that very very seriously. Very disappointing

Holey Mackeral Thurls that’s about as damning a post as I have ever read from you.

This is the type of person I want at my footy club going forward. not the ones that play games on their phone in work hours

I think we have a real class act who will give us 110% of his effort and loyalty coming in GHS, I hope us giving him best 22 opportunities is his coming of age at AFL level

Shit is he that good , I saw his highlights good footballer but a bit slow .

yes he is slow, he is def no superstar but he is a high quality character, discipline and leadership he will add to some grit and quality in our team fabric this bloke
I back in these eager and hungry mature VFL and SANFL blokes who are being given a chance to play every week with us over uber talented under developed kids who we struggle to turn into regular players
We have a pretty stacked deck on solid guys traded in and I think we are going to notice a big difference in how we look on game day especially when we get pressured

I know I don't post here that often the last few years, but I read regularly multiple times a day. Is anyone numb and disappointing exodus of players, soul of the club that withered and died. Don't get me wrong, I realise we're being reborn the past year when the Dew/Evans regime came along, new facilities finally commissioned and in place, Comm Games behind us, but jeez this has been painful band-aid the past few years.

Anyway onwards an upwards...great commentary all, and nothing more for me to add. I'll go back to lurking in the shadows...and looking forward to the end of tomorrow, taking stock of what is likely the exit of 3x club captains in 12 months, and prepping for my draft night drinking game.

Hope it means we will see Lyons playing forward a bit this year.
Think he is actually pretty good up there.

Can we all just imagine for a second being paid $400k or so in a job as a 20 odd year old that was still yet to produce the goods in their profession and leaving that job for a better one or bigger company and not handling that with gratitude or humility for at least 24 hours publicly towards the previous employer on the way out?

GHS, Miles, Ellis all brought in to help the young blokes and give Dave and Lyons a chop out. That’s what Cameron said last week. Also add leadership and are quality guys.
No point drafting in 5 gun kids and have them exposed to KK, Hall and others who were booted.

Like the fact that we have got these taller types and hard nuts that play inside the contest that are ready to roll and need minimal physical development.

We can draft in the class to develop and build around them over the next couple of years.

insane - would have loved to know what his agreed deliverables were, and being paid accordingly! Leech.

I think i'm ready to move on from Scrimshaw. Sucks to lose another young player but time to move on. May is a bigger lose if he goes tomorrow. I really thought he'd be a 300 game player for us especially after he criticised O'Meara for leaving. It makes you wonder what changed in the last year or so to make him want to leave because i find it hard to believe Lynch or whoever leaving has changed his attitude so much when he's seen it all before.

I feel the club just wants to fully reset and have said if you can’t commit now we will let you go so we can fully re-start and stack up on the super draft. I can understand why him and Lynch have left after not playing finals for 8 years but yeah seemed like he was here for the long haul.

Sadly this is exactly the sort of player we needed from Geelong in 2010
Instead we got a generational mid who is also a generational headcase

Didn’t he and his fiancée split? Maybe just wants a new start. Who knows

I got ironclad mail on this bloke and his father first hand Bods so can't stomach the bullshit that's being dished up about this one

What he said
Like I said previously this was worked out months ago and the bogan dad thinks he’s covering tracks with his “sorry not sorry” routine
We were never quite sure how Haileybury made it into the APS
I guess it was somewhere for the aspirational bogan to send their kids and they give out footy scholarships like water
It’s a way out of the ghetto for some kids
If he thinks we forget he needs to come to the next Richmond match at Metricon
Adam Saad “enjoyed “his return

I suspect he might want a change of scenery after breaking up with his fiancee who is good friends with all the other WAGs... its got to be awkward. Is Gorringe still living in Melb? They've become inseparable...maybe we have him to blame (because he was soooo successful on his Vic return)
