I'm not saying we should, but there is still time & I wouldn't rule it out. Evans & Dew were both at Hawthorn. Leading this team would be a tough gig for a rookie Captain, like Miller, Dave Swallow, Witts or Harbrow. Using a list spot for Roughy would be the worst part. If it was Joel Selwood, I'd be ok with it though.

I am conflicted. I want the Lions to improve but with their first rounder next year I also want them to finish as low as possible.

Don’t trust Hawthorn. They’re likely to do a Sam Mitchell / WCE and pinch him back mid-contract.

I could of seen this happening as part of the Scrimshaw deal as they are both likely to be delisted after 1 year

We would be getting Smith at 6 anyway, so this trade really just gets us an extra player in Caldwell, and we get Rozee at 5 instead of 3. Would we have enough list spots for these 3 plus Lukosius and any second rounders like O’Halloran

Touk all the way. Vocal, loves the club, great at speaking to the media, sets great training standards, and has been talking to recruits and players trying to get them to come over.

Good luck if you think that is so straight forward , St Kilda are holding pick 4 , for kings and 2 top 30 players .You only trade down if you are 100% sure you still get your players eg brisbane Mcclugage.

Who, I love Dave but not sure he’s a leader and Touk is very young, it’s a lot to ask and no guarantee to be top 22 in a few years.

Players will vote on it but but. NO obvious choice for me
