Well, there is confirmation that our defensive stocks are set. The GC Academy seems to be excellent at producing Defenders, although I think at this stage any of those guys could play forward and some just about anywhere short of ruck. Good to see a couple of KPP.
In all honesty, I think Rischa and Day are getting better as the season gets longer. The side needs experienced players and Rischa is a widely respected player in the group. Ballard keeps getting better, but he is being exposed in this game and needs to rise or get cut as you suggest.
I think Risca need to retire , is hard for me to see him playing better when team get belt for 80 point . I will take Macveigh playing in backline over risca any day .

I don't want Brodie to keep playing in NeAfl and sell off to Victoria club cheaply , Jake Llyod yes , Mitch Wallis yes but Mills no . The thing with Mills is he is one dimensions cannot play HF well . Barlow is the same .

Dusty hurt factor 20 possession game is very different from Mills or Conca , Richmond miss his class , and Young Graham , prestia .
No club is ever older than 25 average unless they are either Top 4 after a prolonged run or really crap, possibly also after a prolonged run. In 2002, Port had the youngest average age and by 2004 they had the oldest average age. It is called a Premiership window, which some clubs capitalise on and others fail to make hay. The Suns will not be older on average next year and are younger this year than last because the delistings/trades were old enough that the guys who replaced them actually brought the average down, which is likely to happen again. Also remember that named 22 has a much higher average age than the list of 46.
To be honest I rather draft academy players and get trashed in NEAFl than Mills type . Why keep doing the same thing over and over again hoping something different .
Josh Schache's Dad played for the Brisbane Bears when they were still based on the Gold Coast. He died in 2002. No doubt the club and the family wanted it to work out. It didn't.
